Thanks, bro. I don't think there was a year I haven't visited that dam, the ዲጋ ምስላም ኣብ ዓዲ (soon to be a town) ገርገራ! The new ደቀምሓረ ተራእምኒ road bridge under which the dam overflow water passes is amazing. The overflow water flows over a machined stone floor structure. The water-catching bridge "man icons" (Idris Awate riding a horse and freedom fighters with raised flinched fists, and carrying some old Italian rifles (ኣቡ ዓሸራ) were sculptured from stone quarries, not cement!

Well, the Mekelawian don't need dams or anything else. It is enough for them to sell the meat of dogs, donkeys or rats to their poor people.
