The Misplaced Anger; The Violence uncalled For!

That country, that gem of the colored and humanity at large has been going through terrible spell of killer diseases such as malaria, cholera, dengue and starvation especially in the two largest regions of Amhara and Oromia. Cholera is killing citizens in Somalia region too but that is not human induced incidence. In Amhara and Oromia, it is. Such tragedy is one of the dividends of stupid conflicts. Chaos always accompanies wars which make critical assistance almost impossible for those who need it. In this day and age, such deaths from avoidable scourge should not have happened. But what our over qualified daughter/sister Dr, Lia bint Tadesse can do? I am sure her heart is just as broken as mine. Bigots are running amok in Amhara and Oromia targeting public infrastructures and civil servants. The demonic outlaw in Oromia is massacring innocent observers of The Holy Scriptures every where in Arsi and Western Oromia. Malaria, dengue, cholera and other not yet identified epidemics are killing civilians in areas where the so-called ‘Liberation Front’ is rampaging. Let alone nation's health service staff, even international aid groups have been denied access by these two groups of bandits in the two regions. The noble citizens of these two regions are at the mercy of the hooligans among them and the regime’s deadly drones raining bombs on top of them.

In light of all of this tragedy, you may ask what those among us who should know better with PhD’s are doing? These stubborn dumbbells are arguing over the ‘reputation’ of this or that leader of lawless ruffians. For these smart alecks the motto is war and destruction or bust. They blare their idiotic ‘zerraafs’ and ‘gerersaas’ trying to feed on our raw emotions and making blood money off of it. I am holding these two bands of hoodlums, their drum beaters among us along with the regime itself except the ministry of health officials for this and other avoidable deaths and destruction from totally avoidable diseases and conflicts. I have said this before and I will say it again. There is no reason that justifies the current stupid melees in the two largest regions of that country. None whatsoever! All of the issues could have been dealt and resolved peacefully. They will never be effectively and amicably addressed by violence.

I say this to my very dear Amhara brothers and sisters. I am aware of the fact that you have been unfairly targeted and demonized for all the ills that have been haunting that country. I don’t blame you if you accost me about that. Your anger has basis for it. I totally understand that. In some cases your anger is seen to boil over. I understand that also. But I also see bigots among you who are trying to use your raw anger and emotion for their long term hideous scheme. They are rallying up the hopelessly unemployed youth and pushing it to flock to the bushes just to meet its untimely demise. Bigots over there from their safe rabbit holes and here from their comfy homes are taking the two regions to irreversible destruction. Millions will senselessly die and will end up maimed with millions left homeless. For me no one was an angel the whole time in its history. There has never been real democracy anywhere in that country throughout its existence. Every ethnic group has done many things good and many things bad. That is in the past and the current generation is totally innocent of it and this must be used as a springboard for peaceful dialogue. Let’s all root and pray for that. Insha’Allah!!!

Please forgive me for a few spelling errors because I am now overwhelmed with emotions

I recently read an article that included allegedly a direct quote of the Oromia region’s president which I found to beyond shocking. If this can be substantiated beyond the benefit of the doubt, he must be referred to The ICJ at The Hague. If it is independently verified to be true, that is nothing but tantamount to calling for a massacre of innocent group of people. It does not surprise me about this official. He has shown himself to be a loose cannon, a man of loose lips. I remember what he once said when US was said to be contemplating issuing travel bans on certain officials there. Who was to be sanctioned was not clear. But this official, Shemelis reacted angrily by saying USA can take that ‘pest infested wheat’ and stick it. It shows how he was raised. The fact is the wheat from USA had saved millions of human lives who were starving. A dignified person would be thankful about that. What he said was very rude and that is not the legendary Ethiopian way.

If he really said that, it shows how insecure he feels. I now have anything else to contemplate why he is not going full steam against the hooligans that are killing and pillaging in his region. He may think that if the hooligans are defeated and gone he will be left with no place to hide if things go south on him.

Again, I call upon capable lawyers among us to report him to ICJ right away after vetting what he said thoroughly.

There is another loose cannon here among us who is now referring Non-Oromo citizens in the capital and Oromia as ‘settler class’. This is like targeting and declaring massacre on innocent group of people. I still can not believe it. He seems to be an educated person but with such disgusting remark I am not sure what he had learned at school. When I see horrid remarks like this, it gives me the heebie-jeebies thinking about the future of that gem of the colored.

My doubts and fears are now being validated with the detention of these individuals. There has always been on-going 'what ifs' in my mind since 2018. I hope the PM will resign because it seems he is becoming more and more of a lightening rod for vocal groups left and right. It looks he is overwhelmed and things are beyond his ability to handle them effectively. The conflict in Oromia is getting closer and closer to the capital with ruffians running around unchecked in the region. They are killing anyone in their sight whenever they feel like it. They are killing every ethnic group at random. Another armed group in the 2nd largest region in the country, Amhara, seems to be a matter of time before it overruns every major town over there. With these two regions going belly up, your guess would be just as good as mine for what may follow. My daily prayer is, since peace negotiations with the rebel group have fallen flat on their face, the leaders of the two groups will suddenly get awakened by the Grace of The Almighty Our Creator and start talking. I believe in miracles especially miracles for that gem of the colored.

In the meantime, I call upon those here among us who are qualified lawyers to look into the use of drones by the regime in which scores of civilians are killed and see if that qualifies as a crime against humanity. If it does, make noise at the halls of The Hague, UN and the ruling parties of Western nations. I am not talking about holding demonstrations because these have not been effective. I want you to seek audience with officials in the country of your residence and present your case convincingly. I have been hearing from my own merchant relatives that innocent civilians are being victimized by bombs raining unexpectedly on top of them by drones hovering over their heads way up in the distant skies. Even healthcare facilities are reported to have been targeted where providers and patients were killed in both Oromia and Amhara regions. It is terrorizing innocent civilians. You know what happens when civilians are terrorized. They will stop tending their farms and work places which lead to serious lack of food and exposure to deadly diseases. Malaria, dengue and cholera are killing scores of people throughout the country already. Now people have started dying from starvation already. Things are not boding well for the current regime. It may be time for another person to come in and try to cool things down. The previous PM Hailemarium was bold and dignified enough to excuse himself and pass the baton. This does not mean some with his stinking boot to come in and act like a savior. No sir! Not 1974 again!!!

Some of us may be blaming the regime for the failure of the negotiations in Tanzania. I don't how you gonna keep negotiating with someone who is hell bent on 'referendum'. Mengistu is blamed eternally for 'enabling' EPLF all the way to the eve of a 'referendum' with the TPLF on its side. Mengistu's role was a typical set up for punch line. He seemed to like buying new weapons from Russia in pairs except fighter/bomber jets. When he bought missiles he goes: 'One boatload for me and one boatload for EPLF. T42's: One for me and one for EPLF. RPG's and AK47's: 5 boatloads for me and 5 boatloads for EPLF. 10,000 trained soldiers for me and 10,000 trained soldiers for EPLF's prisoners camp'. Abiy's regime knows that very well and does not want to be blamed for that. I bet you if you trace every AK-47, RPG, and machine gun in OLA's hand you will find them in the procurement document of the federal government.

When OLA was allowed to return from Eritrea we saw the video that showed them bare handed. They did not have even walking sticks. Look at them now. They don't even look like a typical guerilla army. They are no different from well pampered members of the nation's defense forces(ENDF) with uniforms well tailored to size. I know what some of you would say about that. No, Sudan nor South Sudan gave it to them. Kenya would never do it. Eritrea and Somalia are out of the question. Then who? How about those arms depot personnel of the regime itself. I have been saying that all along. When you set governance strictly on ethnic lines shunning completely the rights of the individual, such behaving badly will be almost impossible to avoid. The main source of all ills that have been bedeviling that gem of the colored is the lack of the rights of the individual since 1974. Period!!!

In 2018 1300 Olf returned from eritrea around 700 of them would join Oromia Liyu Hayl in Arsi 400 of them moved to Adama

Olf smuggled weapons from Oromo regional special forces and endf into their hands thats why 80% of OLF soldiers have Oromo special force or ENDF uniforms.

This shows how to corrupt ola. maro is peobably hiding in tanzania. He should be kicked out of ethiopia and let welega enter polirical collapse and dissaray like arsi

b) Exile Politics: The Reality Gap and Sucking the Energy Out of the Grassroots

When they left the charter in 1992, the OLF leaders abandoned their soldiers and supporters without any notice or guidance. The chaos and confusion that followed caused general breakdown of the command structure where rules and discipline were ignored, and some rogue soldiers committed unspeakable crimes against their own people, especially in Hararge. The disorganized and leaderless soldiers fell pray for the well financed and effectively commanded Shabiya-Woyane coalition that, despite the heroic defense by the field commanders, effectively removed OLA from its liberated zones. The organization that was believed to have some forty thousand soldiers was left with a small fraction of that, as many perished and the majority were rounded up and thrown to jail or just gave up. The blame-game that flared up amongst the leadership, soon after, further disabled the front from regrouping and hitting back.

I always suspect there was an insider job in the whole charade. That is what you when you base everything on the narrow line ethnic politics. For me the main questions regarding ethnic rights have been amicably answered in 1995. Since then that young child my Itu clan does not have to experience the shock of his tender life because suddenly the medium of communication has been changed to something he does not understand. It had happened to me. Now he starts his primary education with his mother tongue. Also, members of my Itu do not have to find a paid translator to find justice at the court of law. They also hear daily news in their language. So for me the so-called national question coined by commies has been amicably addressed. Those who are stilling pushing it are those connivers with the grand scheme of yanking a territory to claim it their personal republic/fiefdom. They want to create a republic in Oromia as a duplicate of South Sudan and Eritrea. Ain't gonna happen that because the majority of my Oromos are not that oblivious about the schemes of these smart aleck connivers. For now the ruffians are rampaging in Oromia killing everyone they don't like including Oromos. Eritreans never did that. South Sudanese never did that. So go figure about these liars. I will never believe them.

These days we hear numerous news reports about innocent civilians including members of the two main religions being murdered. Poor citizens are being kidnapped for ransoms beyond their ability to pay and others massacred and driven away from their homes. Even their livestock are are not spared.
This is called 'liberating people' à la 'liberation front'. I told you that a million times but you have not been listening to me. Now get ready to be educated. How do you 'liberate' people? One of you said 'Defeat the one that oppress them'. No you are hopelessly wrong! You need to kill those you are having fits to liberate, kidnap them for ransom they can't pay, harass and displace them. Then you will have whole place to yourself calling it a spanking new 'republic'! And nobody they don't know or like will be invited to the party!!!! Wow!!!!

The welega group is consisted of fanatics that finance conflict in oromia

Keep in mind most of jimma illubabor hararghe arsi bale shewa borana are mostly in peace the highlight of conflict was in guji and welega because the welega clique financed it hiding behind the name of Oromo liberation front. So you as a Ituu member of Hararghe have no work with the welega mafia that is why hararghe is in peace. Jawar of arsi baranto clan is also reluctant in supporting the violent ideals of olf this is largely a clan issue as olf is predominantly based off of the savage fanatics of welega.

The real name is Welega Liberation Front. Once this is understood the virus can be dealt with properly

I have said this before. We have been reading stories of killings, kidnappings and displacements of innocent civilians and civil servants in the rural areas and towns far enough from the capital. It is a matter of time before the ruffians carry out the same atrocities in the capital itself. Then hell will break loose with lawlessness preparing the whole country up for grabs for anyone. For what will follow, your guess is as good as mine. But I can tell you this. The entire 120+ million people will be on the move. 10 million in this direction and other 10 millions in every direction to every neighboring country overwhelming every one of them beyond their capacity to support. Some 10 to 20 million battle ravaged and battle hardened refugees will be standing at the gates of Europe posing to burst thru the barricades or border walls. That will be the perfect scenario where nobody wins and everyone loses except the smart aleck bigots and their hordes. It will be Afghanistan, Syria and Yemen on steroid which will make Somalia a cake walk, a pleasant stroll in a park. Talk about an atomic bomb ready to explode. Y'all are forewarned!!!

In closing I have this to say to everyone concerned:
A week or two ago the media was all abuzz with what PM Abiy said about the issue of seaports. I personally believe that his comment was mercilessly misconstrued and slivered to make points of all sorts. His own way of presenting his views on the need of seaports might have played a part to fall into the hands of those who daydream of another bloody war between the two fraternal peoples of Ethiopia and Eritrea. He might have left it with loose ends. They wish of the war mongers did not happen so far and it ain't gonna happen either.

I hope those who are in the decision making positions of the two countries of Eritrea and Ethiopia would come to their senses and start talking about port facilities issues and come up with agreement that will benefit everyone. There are prospects of petroleum in both countries but the future of fossil fuel is in question with every car manufacturer is slowly phasing out current models with electric vehicles. Meanwhile, the population of the entire Horn of Africa is ballooning at an alarming pace especially in Ethiopia. That country will not be too long before its current population reaches the 150 million mark. 250 million is not that far either. To put it in the mildest form, it will be impossible for a 150 or 250 million people to go on without a seaside breather. I don’t think it will be willing to be suffocated. It should also be noted that all major rivers that traverse the Horn of Africa have their origins well inside the current Roof of Africa called Ethiopia. Things can go so dire and complicated. The current air of peace will be replaced by constant fear and animosity that can lead a generation or two later to the procurement/manufacturing of miscellaneous forms of weapons of mass destruction. I believe the knowledge is out there already but just lacking the desire to have one. Once one acquires it then it will all a domino effect. Avoiding such nightmarish scenario is in the hands of Brother Isaias and PM Abiy. The foundation for virtual peace and co-existence should be laid now, as we speak. Leasing port facilities for military powers will not bring big enough a dough to sustain the economic well being of any nation and it can turn out to be a liability if the big boys choose to duke it out. This runaway population growth has been a concern for me for quite some time now.
This is my two cents worth of an opinion and as always fiercely independent.

Happy Holidays My Dear Brothers and Sisters!!!

Happy Holidays My Dear Brothers and Sisters!!!

I remember about 10 to 12 years ago, when Tigray warlords in Ethiopia were shipping over 2 million young Ethiopian girls to Arab countries as domestic servants, to replace the Asian maids whose governments had ordered their return home due to the increasing number of physical abuse and sexual assaults they were experiencing at the hands of their Arab employers.

Saudi Arabia, in particular, had ordered half a million Ethiopian maids to be delivered to them within days. But when it was discovered that the Ethiopian Airlines could not accommodate such large shipment of humans on a short notice, the Saudi government allocated 5 huge cargo planes, with each plane making up to 6 flights a day delivering the Ethiopian maids to Saudi Arabia.

It was during this time that the Tigray warlords expressed their frustrations over not owning a port to load the young Ethiopian girls on to slave ships and sail them across the Red Sea to their final destination in Arab countries. The reasoned a ship can carry more maids than a cargo plane. Some Tigray leaders were even heard advocating for war against Eritrea, claiming that they could ship a lot more Ethiopian girls by sea to maximize their profits, an idea they presented as a matter of national interest. የመሞትና ያለመሞት ጉዳይ!

I think Ethiopia not owning a port have saved millions of young Ethiopian girls from becoming concubines in the Arab world where house maids are considered "slaves." God works in mysterious ways.

Here goes the neighborhood!!! One of the earliest admirers is in the bag. African governments never seem to have the stomach even for the mildest criticism let alone for a scathing one like this. But in the past all had failed to silence/eradicate criticism. In all fairness, sometimes both sides don’t know how to play/handle the game. Sooner or later some one is gonna get tired of arresting and then what to follow? Your guess is good as mine. Not a good sign.

As of late I hear/read stories of prison breaks carried out armed groups both Oromia and Amhara regions. In such operations it was also reported that the perpetrators had freed their imprisoned comrades and letting free some of the most violent criminals in the process on the society.

The more I read about this break in story the more I smell rat. This must have been carried it out with ample insider help. I have been saying this all along. These hooligans must have had adequate help from inside the regime itself. It is natural when you create governance purely on ethnic lines. It has nothing to do peoples emancipation but rather the empowerment of conniving smart alecks. When you make the rights of the individual secondary this is what you get. When you create a government as such you create individuals set up akin to a disease of bigotry that will turn out to be so infectious. You think you have seen enough bloodshed now? Wait until you see the big one. That country is well setup for going belly up. This is when the well educated are supposed to come in and save the country but that is not the case. The saddest thing about it is intellectuals among us are most of them stricken with the disease. They don’t feel an iota of shame when they flop their mouths with ‘Neftegna’ this and ‘Oromummaa’ that. You don't hear a lot of howling with 'Woyane' this and that these days. They now have coined a new racist profiling they call ‘settler class’ setting up innocent citizens for massacres. Folks, these are all who should know better intellectuals. These is what the children of that gem of the colored have become. They are digging its grave. I hate to say this and pray Our Creator forgives for it. I wish they were not even born.
