Life is short. Sometimes fun is required.
Having said that, I admit, I have stayed deliberately from this forum for some days. I said to myself if people ask.. Where is zemeslo? Why not they ask... Where is Kerenite but to my dismay nobody asked about my whereabouts even Almaz. As such I am disappointed.
This reminds of a true story and which goes as follows:
In highland (kebesa) Eritrea there was a ruthless shifta named ASHEBIR ABRAHA. People were scared of him and no one dared to go from village to village. The field was under his full control and that was in the 1940s and 50s of last century.
In every wedding ceremony, the women and the girls were singing about his bravery. Songs such as... Ashebir abrahaye.. Ashebir abrahaye.. NiAkha ferihe imber mikedku berakaye. Not literally but roughly translated.. You are a hero, the field is under your control.
Ok! Now:
The songs drew the attention of a jealous man in the village. He said to himself if they can sing for ashebir abraha, I will make the women and the girls sing for my bravery as well.
So he went to the field and stayed there for weeks. After many weeks, he met the villagers who were passing by.
He asked them, did the people start singing about my bravery? The villagers replied, the people are worried about you.
Some say: kab gedel tsedifu daa keykewin (perhaps he fell off a Cliff) or ab Eila atyu keykewin (perhaps fell into a well).
This annoyed our would be ashebir abraha and returned back to his village quietly.
Me too, I returned back to Mereja with my ears shrinking and tail between legs.
I admit Zemeslo is stronger than me.
