Abiy will not be that stupid to take that unthinkable decision of engaging in military adventurism aganist Eritrea. He knows and his generals know too well that it will be a suicidal mission.
It is not a rocket science to figure out why conflict against Eritrea is hyped up as imminent in Ethiopian media these days. Ethiopian problems should be solved only by Ethiopians.

Abiy is the one who brought it up as an issue, I agree he will not start a war but you got to ask why he is doing it. Is it to distracte? Or there is outside forces are at play?

Absolutely. Ethiopians problem is a collection subconscious mind of dysfunctional attitude.Ethiopan problems should be resolved by Ethiopans.
It is a lazy approach to resolve your own problems through dysfunctional states such as Eritrea, Somalia, Djibouti and Sudan.
Inviting dysfunctional states into your own affairs can only prolong the cycle of conflict.
