I mostly agree with you here,Eritrea has successfully crushed or helped in crushing all its adversaries below, however, the success did not free Eritrea strategically to ensure its existence because Eritrea is still surrounded by more enemies.
The best solution is for Eritrea to resolve the issue strategically rather than tactically.
Eritrea has to work with the Amharas, probably the Tigrayans too, strategically by insuring the relationship is long term, given they will face the Oromo threat for many decades to come.
Eritrea needs to train and arm a full Amahara national army. Eritrea needs to work to reconcile the Amhara and Tigrayan relationship. Experienced Eritrean commanders and mechanized forces need to fully integrate with the Amhara fighters. Eritrea should offer free ports thru Massawa to the Amhara region. Eritrea should start to look for ways to integrate the Amhara economy with Eritrea. Eritrea has to increase cultural exchanges with the Amhara by offering them college scholarships in Sawa and the Eritrean marine college in Massawa Above all, Eritrea needs to offer the Ethiopian people that the Red Sea belongs to Ethiopians as it does to the Arabs.
(If the Arabs can use the Red Sea to threaten and block Ethiopia as they want by excluding Ethiopians from any use, then Ethiopians have every right to raise this issue and destabilize the entire Horn of Africa as long as it takes. )
Anything tactical relationship is doomed to fail. Eritrea needs to look at strategic and long term relations that can one day grow into a full confederation or federation. Right now, Eritrea does not have time, even if Abi Ahmed collapses tomorrow. This is an urgent matter.
Do not count on Arabs be it Egypt, Sudan or Saudi Arabia, the worst ally an African can choose is the most selfish, greedy and self centered racist Arabs who have no loyalty to any black person. In the picture you posted below, Somalia, Sudan, Yemen and include here Djibouti are Arab League members but hated Eritrea. The current honeymoon with Somalia will not last long. Somalia is a full-fledged US ally. You may remember the Hanish Island war, the entire Arab world including Turkey was against Eritrea.
