Did you know that, when the TPLF terrorist group launched an all-out invasion of Eritrea in 1998, a great famine was affecting 20 million Ethiopians. And due to the Tigray terrorist regime boycotting the Eritrean ports of Massawa and Assab, International aid agencies were unable to bring humanitarian aid into Ethiopia to feed the victims.
It was during this time that USAID, UN's World Food Program and the Red Cross asked the Eritrean government if they could use Eritrean ports to deliver food-aid to Ethiopia's famine victims. The Eritrean government, even though it was at war with the Tigray terrorists, it quickly gave the aid agencies permission to use Eritrean ports on humanitarian grounds. But Meles Zenawi's refusal to accept food-aid that was unloaded at Eritrean ports led to many Ethiopians dying from an easily preventable famine.
