Gavin Newsom Isn’t Running for President Because Michelle Obama Just Might

Post by Halafi Mengedi » 10 Sep 2023, 13:04

Gavin Newsom Is Not Running for President in 2024 - By Michelle Obama Just Might: He’s the most promising major Democratic Party politician in America today. Young, articulate, and confident, California’s Governor Gavin Newsom has been rumored to be running a shadow campaign for president in 2024 for months.

Finally, after endless speculation, the California governor has put to bed suspicions that he’s planning to replace President Joe Biden as the Democratic Party’s nominee in 2024.

“Not going to happen,” was what Newsom explicitly told NBC’s Chuck Todd on Meet the Press recently, when referencing the likelihood of his presidential campaign in 2024.

Newsom, who came up in California politics with Vice-President Kamala Harris, insisted that if the forty-sixth president did not—or could not—run for reelection, Harris would be “lined up” to be his natural replacement at the top of the ticket.

Kamala Harris is a Bad Second Choice
Of course, Kamala Harris is a walking disaster in her own right.

Whereas President Joe Biden’s disapproval ratings derive from perceptions that he is simply too old to be president, Harris’ high disapproval rating comes from the public’s view of Harris as an ineffective, gaffe-prone leader.

Despite these negative perceptions, and possibly because the only time Harris really comes alive is when she’s talking about race or gender issues (such as abortion), Newsom appears to be speaking for many Democratic Party elites when he says that she’s the next-in-line, no matter what.

But is she?

The Democrats need a strong female of color if they aren’t going to run either President Biden or Governor Newsom. That is not Vice-President Kamala Harris. While it might seem like a long-shot, rumors have abounded that former First Lady Michelle Obama is quietly organizing a presidential run.

Given all the legal woes that President Biden has been ensnared in, thanks to his son, Hunter, and the negative perceptions about his age, it is possible the forty-sixth president will simply be unable to run when all is said-and-done.

This is a big problem for the set of people currently controlling the Democratic Party from behind the scenes.

Specifically, former President Barack Obama. Readers of my work at this site will know that I have long suspected that President Biden is not just Obama’s third term, but that he is serving as the political equivalent of a sock puppet for Obama.

It was former President Obama who advocated on behalf of Kamala Harris to be made Biden’s VP when Biden won the Democratic Party’s primary in 2020. But now Harris, clearly, is not living up to her expectations. And if Biden is unable to compete in 2024, the Democrats—notably Obama—will need someone else to serve his interests.

Is Michelle Obama Running?
Enter Obama’s wife. A beloved former first lady with mass appeal, she would prove to be an utterly unstoppable force against whoever the Republicans nominated to be their presidential candidate in 2024.

Unlike most first ladies, Michelle Obama was a very political animal herself. She did not enjoy the hurly-burly of American electoral politics, but she was an ideologically Far Left individual since her years as a Princeton student.

Michelle Obama brings those hardened Leftist views with her, if she does opt to run as a replacement for Joe Biden, should the forty-sixth president prove unable to compete in 2024.

It is increasingly clear that the two men running for president in 2024, Joe Biden and Donald Trump, might not end up being the candidates for their two parties after all.

If that’s the case, both parties will need to have backups at the ready.

Newsom Knows Not to Cross the Obama Machine
Gavin Newsom was a natural selection to move the DNC away from the sclerotic Biden-Harris ticket. If, however, former President Obama really is pulling the strings from off-screen, having Newsom in White House—who is not from the Obama wing of the DNC—would work against Obama’s plans.

Newsom was probably advised by the Democrat powers that be to stay out of things until at least 2028. Putting his wife in, however, furthers the Obama mission of fundamentally transforming the United States.
