How do you destroy your link and connection with your culture, tradition, history, country? Give new name to what was. The goal of giving Sheger name for AA is one, the new name creators will now replace the people who reside there also. two, there is no link to history that the new name creators will also destroy what was/history. When it comes to Ethiopia, due to her history of anti colonialism and 5k years of history, history is very very important. If you destory history then you are transitioning to slavery for neocolonizers. A man with no history is nobody, he can be sold and used. Using history means, you are able to empower your generation to keep winning in the future.
