I don't know what is going with Abiy. I am just lost. the war started against FANO but now it is turn out to be with the people of Amara. How is it possible to win a war against the people? I doubt very much about the mental health of Abiy. It is not right.

Abiy is utterly incompetent in every aspect. Any sane person with little political experience knows that such political issues can never be resolved by force and no amount of force can subdue such a massive population when it says በቃ. Abiy is so incompetent and inexperienced that he is failing to read the gravity of the situation and how he is endangering his own power and the country by his stupidity. The guy is not fit to hold any political power. He should become a project manager of an NGO or something. Clearly, politics is not his thing.

I admit when Abiy came to power, I was the biggest supporter of him and his government. I used to get so against Eskindir, obviously He knew what I ignorantly i did not know, credit when credit is due to Eskindir, he knew it. I do understand, the idea that disarming the special forces of the killils is right and correct move, however, how do you leave TPLF armed and untouched while asking Amara to be disarmed? He severely undermined and disrespected the people of Amara. Now the Amara are up and firing, there is no end in sight. I doubt Abiy can stay in power for that long. The more Abiy gets frustrated, the more innocent people he will kill, and the more people become destined to fight to death. My parents live in outskirts of Bahr-Dar and I told them to go to Addis, where my brothers are till these things get to its conclusion. To my surprise, they refused. They say, we lived here, we fight and will die here. Imagine, they in their late 60's. It is clear to me that Amara will not be where it was the last 35 years but what does it mean to Ethiopia as a whole? My fear is that, if Abiy decides to give Humera and Welqayt to TPLF, I have no doubt, Eritrea will join the fight and I have no idea where that leads us. I had a dream when Abiy came to power, and I am terrified this man is in power.

It seems the voice of reason is losing its value among Ethiopians. If our Abere is considered a voice of reason, then this gentleman could be called a voice of reason. Otherwise, he is just another አሃዳዊ extremist, albeit with Muslim name.

Yeah , yeah ..everybody else is ahadawi   These folks must have been amhara in their pervious lives. Those who declared openly, if need be to descend to the gates of hell to destroy Ethiopia, have the moral ground to call others by any names...

Examples of voices of reasoning . . .

Engineer Yilqal recommend peaceful negotiated resolution of the Tigray War back in June 2021 at the danger of being called enemy of the state. And the government finally implemented his advice after years.

አሃዳዊነት is a political ideology, iit s not ብሄር. You can be Oromo, Gurage, Tigraway etc and Ahadawi, just like you can be Amhara and support Federalist ideology.

Ethiopia has full sovereignty to decide who administers Welqait, Raya, Sidama or JiJiga.
If Eritrea thinks it is entitled to to interfere on Ethiopia's internal issues, Eritrea accepts she is licensing Ethiopian government to decide who administers Zoba Gash Barka, Zoba Debub, Denkalia and Assab.

International relations is ruled by the principle of reciprocity. It is a two way street.

Internationa rules? If that is the case, why do you agame hold Eritrea sovereign land for twenty years even though the international court rendered its veridictions? You see, power is might. Eritrea have the upper hand and it will be done with whatever Eritrea wants. Besides, Who is governing Ethiopia? I hope you don't tell me that is Abiy.

So the basis of the relations between Eritrea and Ethiopia is on who has the upper hand?

If Eritrea believes "Power is Might and it will do whatever she wants in Western Tigray, what is wrong if Abiy believes Ethiopia will do whatever she wants in Denkalia and Assab? Principles are principles! They work on both sides.
