The Eritrean Flag that was chosen by the people should be the national flag up until a new democratic government with a new parliament chosen by the people says otherwise. The flag brought by EPLF is an armed struggle flag that represents the EPLF against colonialism. It can only become a national flag if the Eritrean people says so through legitimate democratic process.it does not mean it is insignificant. It just hasn’t’t be chosen by the Eritrean people.

Eritrean flag & compromises, and the tale of 3 generations of Eritrea
The 1950s Eritreans discussed & negotiated and came up with compromise flag. Their kids the, Jebha & shaebia of 1970s & 80s killed each other for 13 years until 1982. And their grand children in 2020s are so antagonized that they are fighting in the streets and venues of Europe & America.
Is the original Eritrean flag 'Jebha's Flag'? No. It was designed by an Eritrean parliamentarian and members of Eritrean first parliament argued on whether to have a cross or crescent moon in the middle. It was the result of intense negotiation and compromises. It is actually a symbol that Eritrean Muslims and Christians could reach at a consensus after a negotiations which was achieved in 1950s. Their children never learned from their elders and chose the path of war which we saw between Shaebia and Jebha and have been killing their school mates and friends starting from the early 1970s.

Thanks no thanks to your likes, the Eritrean population dwindled from 6 million to 3 and half million today. Yes, men of arms enforce their will on the people as it was common to see around the world in Mengistu, Stalin, Hitler, Sadam, poor child like Gadafi who forced the people to carry flags to fulfill their egos.
