"TDF" vs. "FANO"

First, I have no intention to debate about the legitimacy of the naming of the two entities here.
I just wanted to highlight one of the prominent differences between the two. They have differences and commonalities, that is clear. One is based in Tigray and the other in Amhara region, they both raised arms against the central authority of the state, which means they are both forces of subversion. They tried to usurp the power by means of violence, risking all the associated repercussions of violence. They are forces of insurrectionists and destructions.
But there is one very prominent difference between the two:
While TDF had the backing of the people of the region itself, FANO lacked this and that paved the way for its surprise defeat within just few days of announcing victory over the region.
The Amhara people said: not on my back to the traitors, while Tigray decided to accomodate and give a cover for the insurrectionists in its own region.
This will be one major entry in the history book to come in the future.
