The Amhara people have been marginalized from the Ethiopian politics for more than three decades mainly due to the arrogant attitude of their elites resisting & refusing to participate as equal partners with the other nations and nationalities to build the new Ethiopia. Even now some of the FANO leaders from the diaspora have been calling for FANO to march to Arat Killo and remodel Ethiopia according to their wishes. This zero sum game arrogant attitude originates from the myth that Amharas were the one who created Ethiopia in the past and they have the birth right to rule it to perpetuity. This myth is easy to disprove based on historical facts and the truth is all Ethiopians participated in the establishment and sustaining of Ethiopia and no one has the right to claim birth right. The current FANO actions have been very successful for the following reasons:

- It has dismantled the aged , opportunist and corrupted PP Amhara
- The arrogance within the Federal government has been deflated
- Thousands of prisoners were released.
- Enlightened , awakened & motivated the people of Amhara and Ethiopia for change .
- FANO may have got more weapons and new recruits to join the struggle
- International recognition that will help it to get diplomatic support
- Demonstrated chain of order ,discipline, integrity, following rules and handling of prisoners of war .
- Demonstrated it has huge support


The way forward:

If FANO continues with the armed struggle around cities using civilians as human shield that is illegal, will cause huge causalities , and will not enable FANO to take power at Arat Killo & it will destroy the economy and infrastructure of the Amhara state .The government is also entering into the " Amhara quagmire " that cannot win militarily, will destruct it from it's commitment of working for prosperity and could ultimately result in disintegration of Ethiopia.

Hence, both parties have to sit and resolve their issues peacefully !

However, we know that FANO is under the remote control of Isaias who is the front man of Egypt and it will not be easy for FANO to freely negotiate in good faith and constructive manner to stabilize Ethiopia.

It is a good beginning for you to acknowledge the just causes of Fano uprising and its achievement so far. However, you still have a long way to go to stop falsely blaming Amhara for not accepting equal partnership with the rest of Ethiopians. This is in fact what Amhara has been fighting for the last 32 years. The very reason Amhara rebelling against is its exclusion. Amhara fought alongside of TPLF to remove Derg, but TPLF, just like Abiy Ahmed, betrayed Amhara and excluded from the Ethiopian politics, rather Amhara was subjugated by its deputy called BEADEN. In fact, Amhara was made a target of attack by TPLF/OLF constitution as well as on the ground in real life. The politics of inclusion, engagement, and equality regardless of religion, language and se.x is important. That is what Amhara is fighting for.

FANO seems transiting from genocidal and looter" ተራ፥ ሽፍታ" to organized and disciplined resistance but FANO has committed genocide, rape, ethinic cleansing etc on the Tigray people and they have to face justice at the right time .
However, on this post my focus was to reflect on the recent developments and recommend peaceful end of the conflict.

This not the 1st time , I called for the peaceful resolution of issues in Ethiopia either in Tigray, Amhara , Oromia etc. I have opposed the marginalization of Amhara , killing of Ethiopians in Wellega, destructions of houses around Addis Ababa, ban of Amharas from entering Addis Ababa etc.

You keep parroting Isaias propaganda about " Abay Tigray" despite the fact that I have clearly stated my vision for Ethiopia several times , which is Axum centered Hybrid Confederalist / Federalist Ethiopia which shall evolve in the next 20 to 30 years .

Whatever your political stands are, but the points you listed about Fano are not far from the truth. However, the charachterization about amhara is nothing more than a cheap political jab. The great thing that we all benefit from Fano's victory is that the political order that has been constructed to subjugate the Amhara people is never going to be same again. When the Amharas are free, the gimmick thnic apharthied system with all its beneficiaries will be in the past and all Ethiopians will be free.
