En anhållen och tjugotal i förvar efter Järvaupploppet

En person har anhållits misstänkt för mordbrand efter gårdagens våldsamma upplopp på Järvafältet, uppger polisen för Ekot.

– Vi har ett tjugotal som tagits i förvar och som kommer att avvisas till sina respektive hemländer, säger Maria Sundström, biträdande kommenderingschef.

Våldsamheter bröt ut under torsdagen i samband med kulturfestivalen Festival Eritrea Scandinavia, som enligt bedömare anordnas av den regimvänliga delen av den eritreanska diasporan. Motdemonstranter gick till attack och våldsamheterna ledde till att flera personer skadades.



One arrested and twenty in custody after the Järva riot

A person has been arrested on suspicion of arson after yesterday's violent riot at Järvafältet, the police told Ekot.

- We have about twenty who have been taken into custody and who will be deported to their respective home countries, says Maria Sundström, deputy head of command.

Violence broke out on Thursday in connection with the cultural festival Festival Eritrea Scandinavia, which according to observers is organized by the pro-regime part of the Eritrean diaspora. Counter-demonstrators attacked and the violence led to several people being injured.
