Setit, the newspaper he was working for had simply published an open letter signed by fifteen members of Afwerki’s totalitarian regime, known as Group 15 - “G-15”, opposing the wicked and selfish decision of Afewerki to postpone elections and the failure in implementing the constitution, and calling for democratic reforms.

Could you imagine if Dawit Isaak, who was part of the 18 journalists who were arrested in 2001, has since been in prison without charges with the rest of the 18 journalists, even though, except Afwerki and his cruel torturers in his evil gulags, no one really knows how many of them are still alive!
Since September 2001, no private media has existed in Eritrea.
