MOSCOW, July 19. /tass/. Russian President Vladimir Putin will address the BRICS summit via video link, and he will take a full part in the event. This was reported to TASS by the press secretary of the Russian leader Dmitry Peskov.

Peskov said that there are no signals from South Africa that Putin's arrest will be equal to a declaration of war.

"President [of the Russian Federation Vladimir] Putin decided to participate in the BRICS summit via video conference. This will be a full-fledged participation, " he said.
Peskov confirmed that Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will represent Russia in person at the summit. "The meeting itself will be attended by Minister [of Foreign Affairs Sergey] Lavrov," the Kremlin spokesman added.
BRICS includes Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa. The summit will be held in Johannesburg from 22 to 24 August.
