No, Neguse Negest is not a Tigrian tradition. There is no written or documented evidence proving Axum was a Tigrian product, to begin with. Axum has no historical reference or correlation with present day Tigre. Historically, Ethiopia had been anarchic or turned into mad house, twice - during Zemene Mesafint (era of judges/ little neguses) and Woyane, where tribal apartheid slaughtered individual citizens (Qera houses).
The wisdom of Emperor Haileselassie and King Menelik was unmatched. During Emperor Haile Selassie, Ethiopia reached the Zenith, compared to where she had been for 3000 years. The Emperor’s was perhaps the peak Tigres enjoyed the best or had much better life - free to work everywhere, most welcome, respected, serve as governors everywhere etc. Ungrateful, woyane out of pure evilness started hate propaganda and we see now where Tigray is. No body even knows why Tigres are whinning. I think it looks violence and rebel is the means of living.

Noone has done more damage to Ethiopian nationalism and citizenship politics more than berhanu and his ezema party.
