There is no Oromo land and no Oromo people in Kenya, Isiolo County, Tana River county, Eastern, Northeastern and half of Lamu County Kenya belongs to Somalis.

Oromo/Borona/ tribes are herds men found in Ethiopia largely, Kenya and Somalia. Goodgle it you will find plenty evidences. As herds men they roam place to place in search of pasture for their livestock, until the majority arrived Ethiopia in the 16th century and learnt agriculuture and sedentary life from other tribes in Ethiopia, mainly from Amhara. That is why the OLF now is claiming dozens of districts from Somale region and eyeing on Kenya.

Only three tiny tribes who speak different dialect of Afaan Oromo are living in Eastern Kenya among Somalis but have no right to claim the land, Besides, they don't see themselves as Oromos, They are called, Borana, Gabra and Orma, total population less than 150.000 people, Somalis have an exclusive and incontestable right on the entire lands.
You think OLF are powerful rebels but Oromo/OLF doesn't have power to seize land from Somalis.

Actually, their numbers is more than what you indicated. Along the border of Kenya and Tanzania (Southern Kenya) alone there are 250,000 Oromo alone, isolated from the other Oromo groups in Kenya. I once watced BBC documentary, they speak Oromigna. Someone might help posting that documentary videao. The three tribes you mentioned may have differnt dialects but they are linguistically Oromo. It is true the Wollega Oromo and the Harrar Oromo no only have differnt dialects it was nearly impossible if they could communicate one anotherm also in many cultural elements, yet they are considered to Oromo. It is like an Amhara and Tigre conversation, an Amhara can undersatnd the topic or issue what a Tigres talks but difficult to engage in the conversation. Thus, the communication between Harar vs Wollega; Jimma vs Bale was like that. Now, OLF created a new langauge to be shared. But the point is, OLF officially has the manifestor of reclaiming tribe and lands from Kenya and Somalia. That is the fact. Will that work, remains to be seen. But, we know they have wild ambitions.

I am perfectly aware that you are trying to push Oromo out of Ethiopia but there are no 250.000 Oromo settlements in Southern Kenya or Kenya as a whole, The number of people in Kenya who speak a language that looks like Afaan Oromo is no more than 150.000, according to Kenya Census.
They are the Borana, Gabra (Gabra prefer to identify themselves as Somalis), Orma and "Sekuye" a tribe that have gone extinct, None of these tribes uses the term "Oromo" to refer to themselves, In fact, they are always at war with each other over a waterhole and livestock, And they are all in the process of becoming completely Somalis.
It's widely believed that Gabra tribe are Somali in origin, However, most Gabra and Sekuye are now Somalis.
OLF officially has the manifesto of reclaiming tribes and lands from Kenya and Somalia
As I said earlier on, OLF or Oromo does not have the capability to seize land from Somalis, nor do they have the guts to do that, Secondly, they are very well aware that Somalis will not give up an inch of their land and thirdly, they may terrorize all other ethnic groups in Ethiopia but not Somalis.

It is not Abere who have been claiming for the unification of Kenya Oromo and Ethiopian Oromos. There are mounting evidences that differnt Oromo tribes are living in Kenya. Some even indicate about 1 million of them. It is true Oromo orginated from South and migrated into Ethiopa en masse reaching central Ethiopia in the 16th century. Oromos are Ethiopians they will not go anywhere. Do not blame me for the wrong agenda of yours.

The author had no idea what he/she was talking about, Gari are pure Somalis and Gabra are not Oromo.
It is true Oromo orginated from South and migrated into Ethiopa en masse reaching central Ethiopia in the 16th century.
That is not true, It is baseless propaganda, Oromo are the indigenous peoples of Ethiopia.

I am not here to conduct a literature review research for OLF, but the history between Oromo and Somali is complex and too deep. Oromo of today in Ethiopia were historically pushed by the Darod tribe of Somali out of proper somalia.Somalia of that time was also an Arab mercenary they prayed on the Bantu and Oromo tribes and sold them as slaves for Arabs, Thus, Oromos took refugee to Ethiopa to evade slave hunter mercenaries. Those people you posted are Orma tribe not Oromo, The Orma tribe never use the term "Oromo" to refer to themselves, they are genetically, culturally and linguistically very closely related to Pokomo people.
The Orma people make up the smallest ethnic group in Kenya, numbering only around 20,000 and the numbers are dwindling, they are inhabitants of Tana River county which is the land of the Somalis.
Orma language is distinct from Afaan Oromo, with different vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation, Orma are in the final stage of becoming fully Somalis.

The current population of Tana River county in 2023 is 262,684 people not 315,943, Tana River is more than 90% Somalis.

Well, a few decades back the name Oromo was even strange to the Oromos themselves in Ethiopia. The name they call themselves and others calling them as well was different. So, this name too could be strange to the Orma tribe in Kenya who naturally belong to the Oromo family.

In any case, their origin does not matter; the time they arrived to Ethiopia does not matter, they are part of Ethiopian culture.
