Is there anything a true democracy can't untangle ?

After scouring this forum, I came to the realization that all the bickering happening here, in Ethiopia, or Eritrea could be solved if there were genuine democracy. Think about it. Borders would become meaningless as a means of separation. Instead, commerce, travel, and trade would flourish. Ethnic differences would be relegated to a single element of uniqueness rather than a cause of war. Look at Abiy's Ethiopia. Instead of making the best of the opportunity given by the Ethiopian people to establish democratic governance, he caved into his ethnic group, benefiting his own at the expense of other Ethiopians. He could have benefited Oromos if he had followed the universal principles of democracy rather than making people view them as enemies of their well-being. If there is a genuine interest in finding solutions and goodwill to avoid war with each other, there is nothing that cannot be solved. We are the people who live in a cave without being exposed to sunshine.

During the Cold War in the 1950's, the Soviet Union and its satellite states were referring to the Western system of government as "Imperialism", that has a negative connotation as it is considered morally reprehensible. So the West decided to call themselves "democracies," a term many people in the West were not even familiar with at that time , let alone knew its meaning, but they liked the idea so they ran with it.
Using the word democracy to spread the West's sphere of influence around the world was an instant success. Even the Americans whose country is a Republic, not a democracy, started using the term democracy in reference to their system of government despite the fact that a one-man one-vote democracy does not exist in the US. In fact, the American Founding Fathers thought "Democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes exhausts and murders itself. There never was a Democracy Yet, that did not commit suicide." (John Adams)
For us Eritreans, who for centuries have been practicing written customary laws, products of our centuries-old customs, rituals, norms, religious beliefs, and cultural values, we're not interested in copying and pasting other countries' system of governance when we already have our own. When my Eritrean ancestors were practicing written customary laws in the 4th century, the Greeks were dangling from branches of Olive trees and living in dark caves. Can you sell sand to the Arabs, or snow to the Eskimo?

if a Republic (Rule of Law) is placed it must be at least supported by at least 50% of the nation. The Law must also be above the party
