There are no two ways about it Erimias is pro- weyane in his renewed political stance having joined Tedi's camp, and anyone who is against weyane by default will be pro-Issyas. I sense he is slightly frustrated that Anchor rocketed stratospherically while his performance is decimal. The more frustrated he becomes the most outlandish his politicking going to get. I'm not saying what he saying doesn't have an element of truth, but on what ground he makes an independent judgment while he is a foot deep in the mud.?

eden: you we’re behaving like a descent human being over the past few weeks. Your sympathies for Amhara victims of OPDO are well noted. Now … you are going back to being the real eden, a snake.

Messay Mekonnen a selfless Ethiopian hero who is respected by millions. I don’t think he has anything to do with Eritrea, but I personally trust Messay’s judgment even if he works with the devil.

TGAA,

You being unreasonable! The host is renowned Eritrean media personality beloved and highly respected by pro democracy Eritreans. He vetted his guest. The accusation by former colleague is not outlandish at all considering HGDEF had funded ESAT in hundreds of thousands. Here is Andargachew Tsige, former ESAT executive publicly stating HGDEF had funded ESAT, an Ethiopian media outlet:

How did it end up for him the last time he worked with the devil [Abiy] ?

Eden, I don't know the Eritrean journalist/media man, so I'll take your word for it. However, Ermias is a well-known Ethiopian political analyst who has been in the field for some time. Therefore, I would say that most Ethiopians have already formed an opinion about what kind of person he is. There are different types of political figures; some have an ethical backbone and are willing to sacrifice themselves for their beliefs, while others are more opportunistic and adjust their positions based on the prevailing winds. Ermias falls into the latter category, as he tends to sense which way the wind is blowing and then adjust his stance accordingly.
However, he jumped from one political ship to another, hoping to gather a massive following. When this didn't materialize, he became desperate. I must admit that I was disappointed in Messay Mekonen for supporting Abiy. While we all initially supported him, Messay and his associates went further in their support than I had expected. Out of all the ESAT members, I remember that Messay was more reserved in his support of Abiy. So when he disappeared from the public eye, it was evident that he had reached his limit. After about a year, he reemerged with a strong and forceful approach. He did not apologize for his previous service, although he should have. So for Erimias to come out and besmirch Messay Mekonnen's name as Issyas' hired gunman is baseless. Issyas, although there is a strain in the relationship between Abiy and Issyas, it hasn't reached a breaking point yet, and he will not risk it by supporting Messay Mekonen.
Here is a fact you may be aware of: What Weyanes invested in Eritrean opposition groups outstripped what Issyas spent on ESAT. Both Eritrea and TPLF are not paragons of democracy; they are not supporting the opposition on both sides to spread democracy, and to expect that is also naivete. Most Eritreans who support Weyanes do so not because Weyanes are paragons of democracy, but because they receive support from Weyanes to unseat Issyas. The same applies to Ethiopians as well. Issyas supported ESAT, as did Weyanes, and they had spent millions and millions training and arming Eritrean opposition, although Weyanes don't have anything to show for it.
