It is growing out of desperation. People are chasing those killer cadres and murdering them.

Exactly, the people were being patient but now they realized ኦሮሙማ are really vultures. So they are going after them on a one and one bases as well. The oromuma cadres are terrified that the people are getting ready to take action on the cadres who will come to destroy their homes.
The Fanos murdering the oromuma OLF soldiers in the battle fields is also sending fears thru their veins doubting their future existance as cadres and looters, as a result they are less aggressive now towards the common people, they are sensing abiy will not be able to save them.
