There are no free elections in the developing world. America and its cronies and media (Western and affiliated Arabs) interfere in every election to support America's tools.

The coverage of the Turkish elections is clear in its intent: lengthy articles venerating the opposition candidate, Kemal Kilicdaroglu. It reminded me of Lebanon's 2018 parliamentary elections: I woke up one morning to see extensive venerating articles about a Lebanese drug dealer known only because he was running against Hezbollah in the Bekaa Valley. They made the man a symbol of democracy, integrity and patriotism. This is America. Don't let people elect who they want in the world. It must intervene.

Today we know that America was interfering in the Italian elections in favor of the reactionary right because it was afraid of the victory of the Communist Party. The American intelligence was preparing posters and political slogans for the Christian Democratic Party, and was asking Saudi Arabia to fund the party, fearing the victory of the common communist enemy.

Take what happened in Pakistan yesterday: There is a military coup underway in the country with the support of Israel and America. Imran Khan (the democratically elected) became a target because he rebelled against American hegemony and the generals of subservience to America. The comrades in Pakistan were sharing with me a concern that they have had for two years: that Imran Khan is rejecting Saudi, Emirati and American pressures for normalization with Israel, and that he will pay the price for his refusal.

Elections are an American weapon in developing countries: they demand them when they benefit their cohorts and oppose them when they harm their cohorts. Gaza elections in 2006. It expected Fatah to win because it funded and supported it and undermined Hamas' chances.

But the result was not taken into account, so it was only that it orchestrated a Dahlani coup against the winners (as a long article in “Vanity Fair” by journalist David Rose explained). It is with the elections if Siniora, Geagea and the Shiite drug dealer win, and it is against it if those who oppose and resist Israel win.

The elections in Turkey are a link in a chain: America is nostalgic for the time of the Mossad generals who took control of foreign policy according to the vision of the American-Israeli alliance.

For all these reasons, I am not one of those who demand elections before achieving independence and real sovereignty.
