While the memory of the genocidal Tigray war is fresh in our mind, it is very difficult to avoid being emotional and bitter on those Ethiopian officials including Abiy, Birhanu Julia and others seeing them celebrating the peace deal , receiving and exchanging awards , visiting the war victims that themselves had caused etc. The main components of peace deal are about forgiveness, reconcilation, compensating & resettlement of victims , disarmament, rehabilitation , reconstruction and justice. As far as these components of the peace deal are implemented in an urgent, all inclusive but in an incremental manner the objectives of the peace deal shall be met and ultimately the dividends of the peace deal shall benefit all parties who are parts of the deal. Therefore, every
peace loving Tigrayan and other Ethiopians have to continuously support the peace deal implementation process. We should also support any unexpected & surprising move and reconcilation efforts with Eriteria that could be initiated by both PM Abiy and President Getachew.
