Alex de Waal, has supported the suffering of Ethiopians under 27 years of TPLF tyranny & has been TPLF's main propagandist & advocate 4 the past 3 years of war. Even if Abiy Ahmed's PhD. is fake, neither Alex de Waal nor other TPLF supporters have any moral right to question it.
Plagiarism, is academic’s unpardonable sin. If the allegations about Abiy's Ph.D. thesis are true, what the PM did is shameful. It’ll tarnish, the reputation of AAU. But there were reliable sources who accused de Waal of ghostwriting Meles Zenawi’s incomplete masters’ thesis, as well!
