Stop comparing apples and oranges
There are some individuals who want to see parallel between Amharas' legitimate grievances against the Oromuma regime and terrorist TPLF's adventurous war of destruction in the past 3 years. That's totally wrong. Amharas never questioned their loyalty to Ethiopia despite decades of genocidal campaign against them. Amharas never said the Ethiopia they cannot rule should perish. Amharas did not instigate conflict with their neighbours. Rather Amharas have been victims of unprecedented level of violence and destruction from Chigrayan and Oromumma forces for the past five years. Today they are saying enough. Asking them to lay down their weapons while threats to their existence lurks around the corner is asking too much. In principle Amharas are not against the disbandment of regional special forces. What they are against is unilateral disarmament of Amharas while terrorist TPLF and OLF/OSF are armed to teeth. They want verified disarmament of terrorist TPLF and OLF/ONC forces first before they lay down their weapons. It is a fair demand.
