This is good, and we like that aspect of the current government, which is fully congruent with the Eritrean independent set of mind.
Now we need the government to focus on development, because that is also an Eritrean vision and Eritrean aspiration. These are few things Isaias can do to shaw that he shares our aspirations
- Promote our heroes to higher positions, lest they die as majors and lieutenant colonels after freeing one country and defending twice the sovereignty of one country and once of another foreign country
- Stop disparaging Massawa and start developing our economy, we don't want to see Eritreans travel to Sudan or Ethiopia for medical care or be exposed to modern technology only when they visit foreign countries.
- Stop this silly talk of regional integration and focus on demarcating the border.
- Stop this silly ashkaElal of urban / rural dichotomy, and start restoring the pride of our urban centers.
- A war of words against the US cannot compensate for lack of progress in the above areas.

I've listened to every single interview he gave in his short life. It brings tears to my eyes hearing him talk about himself, his brother Black Sam and Eritrea.

He says in this interview (or may be it is another one) that he loves Eritrea because Eritrea reminds him of himself and his independent path, I think it was in his interview with the Breakfast club, "me and Eritrea are alike, we don't take no shytt from nobody", as he most eloquently put it.

In Eritrea you come to power through a process, not through fake elections. What I want to see is not election, it is development.

But not only that, I also want to see speedy demarcation, growth in stature of our heroes, and our urban centers once again becoming the envy of everybody, that is for my country. And although you didn't care to ask, for myself, now that I am in the process of separating from my American wife, a nice Eritrean hayam girl would be just fine.
