According to my sources, Amhara regional authorities cannot wait for Abiy Ahmed to formally absorb Wolkait Tsegede into Tigray region in order for life to return to the status quo before to the conflict.

Is Abiy going to resurrect the 5000 sleeping Ethiopian troops lives who were murdered by woyane to the pre war status quo? I mean bring them to life?
Every body knows Welkait was a part of Gonder province during Sellassie and Mengistu eras.
That is the real status quo.
But as an Eritrean why would I care. I am just putting my factual analysis. But if Abiy do that he will have much bigger problem with the Amhara than the dead meat woyane.

Abiy replied to the Welkait Asmelash Committee saying "Welqaytoch yetesebere amarigna yenageralu ena yetesebere tigrigna yenageralu" basically he said he will not support Amhara or Tigray in Welkait rather he believes Welkait should be its own Kilil... This view is shared by many Oromos.
