I guess when you are down and out, it doesn't matter whether it is the incompetent Debretsion or the loud-mouthed drunkard Getachew who leads you. They will both take you further down the drain.

Getachew Reda's nomination to lead Tigray is a godsend for Eritrean and Ethiopian tik tokers who will have a lot of fun dealing with the pig. Getcho has a rich history of comical pronouncements. One wonders at the depth of contempt the TPLF leaders must have for their people to nominate him as their president. Is he the saviour that Chigrayans desperately need to help them recover from their catastrophic conditions?

We need an addendum to the news of Getcho's selection: upon the approval of Abiy.
Tigrians political relevance in Ethiopia from now on will be predicated on their servility either to Oromos or Amharas.
