For those Tigrayans who want Tigray to be independent ( as per article 39 of the constitution ) the following points have to be considered.

- Land locked
- Hostile , jealous & genocidal neighbours ( Amhara & Eritrea)
- Tigray economy & infrastructure already destroyed and it's human capital severely damaged and depleted due to the war.
- Tigray main wealth is under the earth( minerals, precious metals , precious stones etc) and requires huge investment and knowhow
- May need confederation with Eriteria or Ethiopia for some time to be viable
- The superpowers are more than ever interested to build a geo-economic-political heavy weight that stabilizes the whole Horn of Africa built around the current Ethiopia( which they control and use against China-Iran/ Arab alliance) and may resist or sabotage Tigray's independence ( they want Tigrayans to share power as part of Ethiopia and help to stabilize & build Ethiopia and the whole Horn of Africa)


The way forward: Bring Ethiopia's center of gravity to Tigray over the next two to three decades by making Tigray :

Part of Ethiopia but different governance system which transformes Tigray to become:


- Model for free economy
- Corruption intolerant civil service and system
- Free media and judicial system
- Model for vibrant democracy
- Liberalized land policy that allows sale and purchase of land
- Elimination of subsitence farming and replacing it with commercialized irrigated and technology based farming( Israel model)
- Rapid urbanization and creation of multiple mega cities that become industrial investment magnets and become economic, technology and manufacturing hubs
- Center of excellence and innovation for the Horn of Africa
- Economic heavy weight in the Horn of Africa
- Political, cultural and religious center in the Horn of Africa
- Benchmark Israel and Dubai technology, trade, commerce, air transport, success factors and implement them in a customized manner to make Tigray a center of excellence and hub for the whole Horn of Africa

- Peaceful coexistence with Amhara & Eriteria

Once Tigray is the heavy weight in the Horn of Africa as part of Ethiopia but different system of governance , it could also consider it's independence, if necessary .

These recommendations could be used by any state in Ethiopia including the ascari land. As you are filled with hate against Tigray you are jealous and afraid of what Tigray could be after two to three decades. Tigrayans like the Jews are highly mobilized, united in vision & purpose and [deleted] which give them unique competitive advantage to build a unique and sucessful model while part of Ethiopia. One united Ethiopia but unique governance model for each state applies to all states.

Congratulations. You are confronting reality somewhat. But, the center of gravity in Ethiopia will be around Addis Ababa. It will not move to Tigray. The Ogadenis deserve far more than Tigray if you consider the wealth under the ground. Making peace with Amhara is very critical. Making peace with Isayas won't be easy. But, Isayas will not stay in power for ever. Things will be amended for the better. Confederation with Eritrea or Ethiopia will not happen. Tigray will be part of Ethiopia under the present system. If you ask me permanent solution for Tigrayans would be for Tigray to be integrated into the amhara region. You guys have been intermarrying with each other peacefully for centuries. By the true definition of Ethnic identity Tigrayans are not separate from Amhara. The amharas and Oromos will dominate Ethiopian politics. Peace between the two giants is very critical for Ethiopian survival. Eritrea is gone for ever. Almost all of Eritreans would like to stay out of Ethiopian politics. This regional integration shyyt is a pretext of individuals to widen and sweeten their power around the horn.

Peaceful coexistence is required but integration with Amhara is not necessary and not acceptable. Tigray as the spirit and soul of Ethiopia has enough potential to be the engine of Ethiopia. The fact that Tigray effectively resisted & kept it's destiny on a coordinated genocidal and illegal war for two years facing disproportional army( Eritrea, Amhara, The rest of Ethiopia) and modern weapon is an indicator that it could do wonder on its development.
