Eritrea should halt, its joining IGAD.
I'm soooo tired of niggérdom!

Re: Eritrea should halt, its joining IGAD.
This is amazing. I wish there was one African country like Eritrea, Africa would have been free of these blood suckers. There is no secret, the white pig is there to give instructions how to treat Eritrea and even telling the slaves, don't bring back Eritrea to IGAD.
Re: Eritrea should halt, its joining IGAD.
It's called z house neggrooo syndrome. or cooning syndrome. I bet fat nazi racist mike hammer is calling galla werqineh a n!ggger with his broken right gap no side tooth.

Re: Eritrea should halt, its joining IGAD.
Perhaps, the power that be, are covertly grooming the self-image conscious tall dude for a take over, for they see a weakness in his undisciplined mind that can be exploited and manipulated to their advantage. African politicians that measure their self worth by what white people think of them have no character or integrity.

Hope you remember the time when this man was giving a testimoney over the alleged "genocide and ethnic cleansing" in Ethiopia in front of the congressional or senate committee of the US, world police, just before a year or two, yeah?
In that case do you see with your own eyes how much we came forwards?
They were threatening and sanctioning us back then, now they are talking to us, if not begging us, don't you think?
In that case who made a real progress?
I don't think anything under this post may warrant your call for Eritrea not to join IGAD, unless you may know something else.

While the Ethiopians have a right to have an alliance even with the devil, one wonders when they will ever learn that sometimes being firm against their "allies" wishes would pay them much more than remaining subservient to them.
Does the Ethiopian government still believe that appeasing the greedy western governments is its lifeline?
Based on the West's advice, does the Abiy Administration still believes appeasing the ever-criminal Weyanes would land her the West's love and support?
Do the Ethiopian authorities believe giving indefinite time to the implementation of the "Pretoria" agreement is going make Ethiopia the the "Darling" of the West by failing to the agreement implementation when the Weyanes are clearly dragging their feet?

The Americans are using money and other means of blackmailing to force the Ethiopian government into subservience. Egypt is also being put under pressure to send its soldiers to fight Iran in exchange for money. Until now the Egyptians are resisting and displaying some backbone because they know that they can not take unacceptable risks.

As China has granted zero tariff treatment to 98% of taxable items originating from Ethiopia, the Biden administration's key economic warfare tool against Ethiopia (i.e. AGOA) has effectively become ineffective.
Reinstatement is, I guess, being considered now. Washington seriously attempting to play catch-up with China and Russia, in our part of the world.

In Africa as in the rest of the world, US machinations undermine its goals and bring other nations together as they seek to protect themselves from a desperate empire.
The US can’t seem to understand that the rest of the world, including Africa, doesn’t like to be pushed around. African nations’ refusal to reinforce US foreign policy in the UN General Assembly is a case in point.During the Assembly’s February 16 vote on a resolution “deploring” Russia’s action in Ukraine, nearly half the nations who abstained were African, 15 of the 32 https://news.un.org/en/story/2023/02/1133847, although only 54 of the UN’s 193 member nations are African. Those abstaining were Algeria, Angola, Burundi, Central African Republic, Republic of Congo, Ethiopia, Gabon, Guinea, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Sudan, Togo, Uganda, and Zimbabwe.
No African nations were on the list of nations introducing the resolution, and two of the seven who voted no—Eritrea and Mali—were African.
In 2022, South African Minister of International Relations and Cooperation Naledi Pandor deplored https://www.rt.com/news/570059-south-af ... ssia-bill/ Congressman Gregory Meeks’s Countering Malign Russian Activities Act https://www.congress.gov/bill/117th-con ... /7311/text as
The House had passed the Act on a voice vote, but the Senate at least seems to have realized that it was counterproductive https://www.africaintelligence.com/east ... 838323-art, and not brought it up.
Nevertheless, on February 21, Republican legislators in the House introduced
US uses trade preference to bully Ethiopia, China steps up
On January 1, 2022, the US canceled Ethiopia’s eligibility for the African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA) because of alleged human rights violations during Ethiopia’s Tigray War, a civil conflict waged from November 2020 to December 2022. The act had granted tariff free access to the US market to firms manufacturing in Ethiopia.
At the outset of the war, Ethiopia had the fastest growing economy on the African continent and the tariff free access had been stimulating the growth of its industrial capacity and generating foreign exchange. Two international firms, Hela Indochine Apparel PLC and Submarine Garment, left Ethiopia’s industrial park in Addis Ababa after the tariff free access was suspended, costing 5,000 Ethiopians, mostly poor women, their jobs.
The war ended in December, when federal forces defeated the Tigray People’s Liberation Front (TPLF), a longtime US proxy, but the US is refusing https://www.thereporterethiopia.com/28441/ to restore Ethiopia’s tariff free access unless the country agrees to cooperate with a UN investigation of war crimes.
International criminal investigations and prosecutions, are typically a form of judicial imperialism designed to advance the foreign policy objectives of the US and its Western allies. Ethiopia has established its own process https://ehrc.org/ehrc-welcomes-the-laun ... -ethiopia/ for investigating and prosecuting war crimes and moved https://ehrc.org/ehrc-welcomes-the-laun ... -ethiopia/ to have the UN investigation terminated.
Meanwhile, as the US attempts to use AGOA as a carrot and stick to impose its will on Ethiopia, China has stepped up to offer Ethiopia tariff free access to its own, much larger market. In early March, Chinese Global Television Network host Zhong Shi spoke with https://news.cgtn.com/news/2023-03-01/H ... index.html Ethiopian Finance Minister Ahmed Shide.
Chinese Global Television Network host Zhong Shi:
With its economy ravaged by the US’s two-year proxy war, Ethiopia has also turned to China for debt relief https://www.scmp.com/news/china/diploma ... assing-g20, which it hasn’t received from the IMF, where the US has veto power, or from the G20.
Imagining that it is still in an age of economic dominance rather than competition with the world’s other great powers, the US is shooting itself in the foot in Africa again.

Ethiopian Finance Minister Ahmed Shide:China will grant zero tariff treatment to 98% of taxable items originating from Ethiopia starting March 1. How important is that for Ethiopia? And what are your expectations when that kicks off?
China is already Ethiopia’s largest trading partner, source of investment, and project contractor. It is constructing the railroad between Ethiopia’s capital Addis Ababa and Djibouti’s ports on the Gulf of Aden and Indian Ocean, at the interface of Africa, the Middle East, and Asia.First of all, we would like to commend the leadership of China under President Xi Jinping for offering this zero tariff treatment for Ethiopia's taxable export items, and also other countries. This shows very timely, and the proper decision from the People's Republic of China to advance our cooperation. This will also facilitate export from Ethiopia to China, which is very, very important and the investment we made in the past, the fundamental objective was to enhance our production capacity. And this new decision is fully welcomed by our prime minister and the government and the companies, Ethiopian companies and international companies who are in Ethiopia, will benefit from this.
And as a result of this, the production capacity in Ethiopia will be enhanced, and particularly at this point, where there is multiple challenges of COVID, International price increase due to conflict in Ukraine, climate related problems we have of drought, this will support a Ethiopia's growth and development and as a solidarity, the purpose of political China has shown for the spirit is very useful and we are very thankful of this.
With its economy ravaged by the US’s two-year proxy war, Ethiopia has also turned to China for debt relief https://www.scmp.com/news/china/diploma ... assing-g20, which it hasn’t received from the IMF, where the US has veto power, or from the G20.

Dr Workneh Gebeyehu's probably learning from the master, Pres. Isaias Afeworki.
"I mean that they were frank, without pretensions or flattery on either side. I share the strategic view of the Americans in the region. French forces in Djibouti have been a stabilizing factor, and U.S. troops will add to that. You need outside powers to keep order here. It sounds colonialist, but I am only being realistic. International relations needs to be interdependent in which case you offer/rent what you have and on what issues you have more strength than others. Similarly the other party may also willingly offer some thing over which it has enough strength and resourcefulness. Even the Economic Theory of Comparative Advantage is based on such mutual interdependence principle.
This means that you may give or hire some important strategic location which the other one does not have while the other party can print lots of green gold and send to you in very large bags because you neither have the license nor the advanced technologies for printing green Gold. This is an age old principle of scratching their back while they may scratch your back in return. So, why make it necessarily complicated and have headache?
