Cost of living skyrocketed in Ethiopia

Post by Right » 10 Mar 2023, 08:17

The price of teff and grains has tripled in Ethiopia. The US Food Aid sent in emergency to help those affected by war and droughts in the region is slowly filling up markets. And it is not cheap and helped a lot of government officials to be very rich.

We have said time and again that the Economy is not something you can cheat away. If you print money then inflation will hit back. If you borrow foreign currency then you have to pay it back with high interest, to pay it you have to produce and that is not the case in Ethiopia. If you try to spend what you don’t have by borrowing money, the cost of paying back and living will hit hard.
This is what you call collapse. Or a failed nation.

The Oromuma has been given a chance to govern. Instead the are swimming in the ocean of conspiracy theories.
They flip the country upside down.
