Had Jawar been in power he would not have done differently.
Look and compare what Jawar and Bekele Gerba has been doing to what Abiy has been doing in practical terms. Both Jawar and Bekele have been saying good things about Abiy despite an objection from the radicalized Oromo communities in the diaspora. Abiy to make peace with weyanes , he appointed Tigrian as Minster of defense and removed Gedu from national security, and in both Pretoria and Kenya meetings (twice) Amharas weren’t represented. Amhara issues were decided to be dealt with nod and wink between Oromuma and weyanes till the right time, but we all know what their intentions are. It looks like Amharas and other Ethiopians have recognized the dagger Abiy is preparing for them, it seems, finally, they wake up and are willing to fight.

Don't write a long essay of a fiction, simply say what is in your mind, which we know by now:

"We wanted to take the gain from the North (removing TPLF first) and then march to the South and dethrone the government in the capital and bring back everything from the Menelik era, which was stipulated by the late Asmenaw Tsige. But Abiy cut our dream short, by not marching to Mekelle and finish off TPLF". That is where your debacle lies. Simple!

It seems that, your entire post is based on ''there were talks,'' and ''there were reports,'' and ''there were rumors,'' as opposed to your post being based on actual, factual, evidence. Tangible evidence. Credible sources and so on. It is called "inductive reasoning " You must have heard about the news then if you were following Oromo Bloggers, media, which I think you did. If you didn't it --then you were out of the loop. that is where I heard about it but at the time I didn't give it that much weight.
(Of course, governments, regardless of the ethnicity of its leaders, will use nationalism for its goals, this occurs all over the world, not just in Ethiopia- good point but (in other countries they don't reverse and attack it ) they keep it potent all the time. Not in the tribal state of Ethiopia.

As far as the war with the TPLF goes, the Amara militias got involved for their own interests first and foremost; since they did not want their enemy the TPLF coming back to power, nor did they want to lose a chance to ''regain'' lost lands, such as Welkait, which they didn't try to take for decades until they saw this chance. They were attacked so once you are attacked the legal means they were following to address the issue is mute .
Prior to that, they were protesting here and there, but didn't dare try military action to take welkait ''back.''
As far as jawar and bekele goes, they are doing what they believe is best for their people and the nation too, and will get things wrong from time to time, same goes for the ''unionist'' parties who wish to ''dismantle federalism,'' despite the fact that it can be said, a large portion (if not a majority) of Ethiopia's nations & nationalities wanting it to remain and improve, as opposed to being abolished completely and replaced with a system that is perceived to be more Amara friendly. Here your argument is convoluted No party or individual argued against the federal system but it has to be a real democratic federalism (fiefdom has nothing to do with federalism )
The addis ababa comment may be true partially, historically, because we know how they used to mock oromo's, their culture, our attempts to speak and learn amharic, and now, many of you guys cry to see an oromo flag raised there and the oromo language become prominent there, even though Addis is almost entirely surrounded by Oromia, its people, its resources and so on. The Vatican is in the middle of Italia , and gets service from Rome but is has its own administration , because the water comes from Rome doesn't make it part of the Roman Administration. Addis Ababa is the capital of all Ethopians as such it has to reflect in all its ways an Ethiopian character. As far as language etc concerned it has to be a national agenda not particularly Oromia's or Amharas or any other .
Basically, you guys love the water, food, and labor, the oromo produce and contribute to the city, but detest, fear and abhor the oromo nation, unless you can get in a position to subjugate the oromo nation, even if it means you have to beg for firearms from the white man to do that; (as opposed to begging for help on how to become self sufficient in food production and so on). Fanna Broadcasting!

Also, can you prove that it was jawar's agenda to ''break up the church''? well, as far as I remember OMN was owned by Jawar and they have propagated but it failed , but Abiy wanted to use the Federal Administration to enforce it.

If you feel Amara's weren't represented, then who represented the somali there? the afar? the gurage? etc? did you cry for them too? or nah? The second largest nationality in Ethiopia that was directly affected by the war was excluded by accident -- I have a bridge to sell you .
who represents the country, regardless of ethnicity, in those kinds of treaties, dealings with the intl community, etc? it's the Prosperity Party, for better or worse, and whether or not you agree or not. Are the Amara's a monolith, that can be represented by just one party or individuals, by the way? If so, out of genuine curiosity, who would be the best representative for them?
It can be argued that the pm didn't represent the oromo there either, he went there representing his parties interests, and secondly, the countries, at least, theoretically.

You are talking on behalf of ''other ethiopians,'' yet I did not see them electing you to speak on their behalf, nor did I see them forming any kind of opposition, whether in the diaspora or back home; so where's your proof for that claim?
As far as Amara's go, they can fight, protest, or whatever they want, that is their right, but to claim to speak for others, is quite bold and false, too.

Very strange statement ! Do you think the people who had trouble defending themselves ( for lack of weapons ) would contemplate to march to Addis (the centre ) to overthrow the government ? Then, who told you that Abiy cut the non-existing dream by not marching to Mekelle* to finish off TPLF as you seem to suggest with some degree of satisfaction ? Do you want a civil war between the two giants of Ethiopia with devastating consequences for Tigrayans and others ?
