Addis Abeba is becoming unlivable!

Post by ethiopianunity » 07 Mar 2023, 00:00

The distabilization of a country is sign where in a city a government is sitting is experiencing uncontrollable influx from other region of Ethiopoia. What is wrong with this government why they are not putting people to work in other regiions so that their region is developed!

there is only ONE city Addis, is there a reason brain why other regions are not being at the same level as Addis? A nation should have many cities just like Addis, is sign of economy drive when you have a cities! The lazy and ethnic fanatic population are stuck on Addis, Addis is now where everybody is [ deleted ] on, is becoming disgusting! What is the use of sky skraper, building houses for real estate kiray sebsabis when Addis is becoming unable to breath, with mass people living on the road and everywhere. Does this government is really controlling Ethiopia when it is unable to control Addis? The government must stop the anarchism also that natually comes when there is a change in government.

Listen to what a Borana says who an "Oromo" is.

Godana is telling it like it's!

Dawi,

You guys being obsessed with telling us who and what we are, is hilarious. This is what you choose to exert your effort on, as opposed to a million other things that would be far more productive and helpful. Like it or not, the old Ethiopia that many of your kind dream of, will never come back.
Get used to it.

As far as addis ababa goes, remember, this was the status quo for decades upon decades, it was developed while other regions were neglected; the previous governments failed Ethiopia. The current government, even with all of its flaws, is not to blame for the mess addis ababa has been. Can't change decades upon decades of messes, overnight or even in a year or a few. It takes time, especially for aid dependent countries like ours, a country that has depended on certain European elites since its inception-menelik depended on them, yohannes did, tewodros begged them for military aid, mengistu depended on ussr, haile selassie was the west's puppy who fed his dogs the best sega wat while millions starved, and the list goes on.

.. Yes, they should have attempted to develop many cities, throughout the country, in order for things like this, to be avoided entirely. Hawassa, Bahir Dar, Jimma, Mekelle, etc many other cities should've been developed more to accommodate the people.

Oh, Dawi, what is "Godana" saying?

I don't have time to sit around and follow a show of almost 2 hrs, your guys are doing it for their supper, I have to earn it somewhere else.

In addition to that the influx of "refugees" to the capital is also being engineered, to get the noises louder later on. If you missed that try to share your time form these guys of so called 360 or something and read the recent "press-release" of your tripple A, which demanded already the right to administer Addis.

First bring them in the chantty towns of the capital and when the government tries to enforce the rule of the law, then make the same old noises "we are deprived of our possessions".

You do it, you are condemned, you leave it you are condemned. This pattern extends in every other fields.

They try to export wheat and earn foreign currency, condemn why export, before we are fed.

They don't try to export, then condemn about the exorbitant devaluation of the national currency against the major other currencies.

Sit around and complain in everything! That has become the normal.

While Addis Ababa is the 4th largest region in Ethiopia, it is the top ranking city of urban poverty, ethnic discriminations, unemployment, homelessness. This city is under direct colonization of Orommuma OLF. Being the 4th largest region of the nation, it does not have political representation and an elected Mayor of its own. A city as tiny as Harar or a zone as tiny (ሚጢጢ) as Kemissie have their own elected leader, but Addis Ababa with an estimated population of 8- 12 million is colonized by Bale and Arusis Oromo, coming out of their jurisdiction. All the problems now manifested in Addis Ababa is because of this harsh colonization by alien Orommuma.

We all know that the Galla never built a city. Rather, gallas are only good on erasing cities and civilizations. What is happening to the peaceful and once vibrant Addis Abeba is Gallas inherent natural instinct of destroying civilization. The earlier Ethiopian people understood this, the better

Abere, Addis Ababa has been a mess for quite a while, funny that you blame historical problems on the current govt, which shows just how irrational and emotional you are (and of course, your anti oromo bigoted nature). You want to blame problems that were accumulated over the course of decades, upon the oromo and the current govt which has been in power for what, 5-6 years? Ha. That's hilarious and shows how unfair you are, and shows how deep seated your hate for oromo is.
The city itself has been poorly managed, since before the current govt, and before eprdf even; not to absolve them of any blame, of course, because being objective and fair is what I am about, which is rare among many Ethiopians who tend to only know how to insult entire nations/ethnicities, as opposed to placing the blame where it belongs.

miss rock, angry tigrayan sister,
Funny that you say that, because we're all poor, there aren't some advanced cities in the north, east, or west; if there were areas that were more ''civilized'' and ''better cities,'' then I'd give them all the credit in the world and even advise oromo to be like them, but there ain't. The north is just as poor as the south, just as under-developed, in some cases, it's even worse and more poverty stricken. The south, especially oromia, can at least say that our land was kept under-developed and exploited by the previous governments on purpose, and our people under-educated on purpose, to keep the oromo down and less of a threat to their power, but what's the excuse for the northerners for their abject poverty and under-developed towns/cities? Let's be fair and objective here.

Sadacha Macca,

Don't take the entire Oromo a hostage to Orommuma (OLF). I am not against Oromo, but I am against Orommuma. I do not hate Oromo, but I hate Orommuma. Also, let it be known, patience and timidity in the face of an open robbing of history, fabrication and massacre carried out by Orommuma/OLF is unacceptable. OLF/Orommuma aggressively wanted to exploit Ethiopians timidity;that is now over. I do not know any magnitude of this level in any of the previous leadership that Addis Ababa had been ruined, destabilized, and impoverished than under the Orommuma leadership. Within just 5 years witnessing extraordinary disaster is very anomalous and in fact is the product of Orommuma. Orommuma turned the country in general Addis Ababa in particular into mad-house. The crazed OLF thug are destroying the livelihood and lives of many, but it will not last long.

your laziness and blame game... there was no chaos in Ethiopoia prior to Derg and getting worse under this government. What you do not want to say is destroy and rebuild Olf style that is what you are implying at. your political agenda from the beginning is let Ethiopia bleed until my ethnicity or religion takes over. Others build and the OLFites destroy.
They are coming @ Addis and that will be the end of them.
They have been given Ethiopia in a gold platter and instead of governing in humility they turned the nation upside down.

Does this government is really controlling Ethiopia when it is unable to control Addis? The government must stop the anarchism also that natually comes when there is a change in government.
So you are expecting the government to travel to each region and farm for them, harvest for them, make food for them, create jobs for them, employ them, pay them, etc, etc, while the regional people themselves just sit around with fingers crossed and waiting for the government to make miracle for all the regions and the peoples in there. Why don't the people themselves put themselves to work instead of waiting for the government to put them to work? Sounds some what like waiting the proverbial manna from the sky. The government can make policies which can influence positive conditions for people to become self motivated successful actors in society until the country becomes very stable, developed, rich and have country wide pro poor social policy.

Abere the mad bere,

Please just save us from your utter bullsh!t talks together with your extremist Nifxam Neftegnumma drooling ar$$ baboons are pieced of because you expected and wanted to bring back the one religion, one language, one culture, etc, tyrannical bygone dictatorial system that gave dirty ar$$$ extremists all the right, all the might's, all the powers, all the lands, all the posts while denying others any semblance of rights and rightful ownership in their own country and regions.

Even in Addis Abeba Oromos of that area were robbed all their lands and reduced to beggars and petty charcoal traders and servants of the same land grabbers who displaced them and exposed them to hopelessness. And that is what you wanted to bring back and enjoy your arrogant barbarian feudalistic sunny days of the past.

That is also why you hate Oromo leaders who are democrats, egalitarian peace builders because you think that they are on your way as obstacles. These values are rather antithesis to your way of anti democratic tyrannical dictatorial racist bilsh!t endless ranting and twisted outlooks. It might be okay to be a little bit fool but not a fool and stupid at the same time. So now shout, "Tirrikt.. tirrikt... tirrikt... abeet... abeet...tirrikt.. tirrikt!

There is a reason why the government is formed after all, other wise why are they elected , is it not to bring peace, development, order etc? What is the purpose of government? Just sit in capital city and talk to foreigners? The goal of government is so that it can mobilize the nation toward common good, economically, socially and even politically so that regions are run well. In fact every representative in each region should be part of the main government towards common good. How do you think is a country being run otherwise in a just society?
On one hand you want your self determination region and yet, these region have become back to stone age, anarchism and people unable to live run to the capital city or other regions to survie. Don't you even have slightest idea how to run your region if not the country? You destroyed the local Shimageles to discipline the undescipline ethnic fanatics that are destroying the fabric of the nation, you destroyed the unity, by eyeing others different from you instead of working together for common good in your region. And you keep crying Neftegna. Now you can't blame on Neftegna. So the result what is happening in other regions is the cause of your ethnic beliefs that created it since Tplf. After opression of Tplf for 30 years, that is understood by the population as well as the government, the elected should act like mentors to mobilize societies towards common good. anyway, it will come to bite the government itself , it seems like it does not care.
