  Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman discussed with Eritrean President Isaias Afwerki, Wednesday, in Riyadh, bilateral relations and aspects of joint cooperation.
  
  This came according to what was reported by the Saudi Press Agency, without specifying the visit of the President of Eritrea, who arrived on Tuesday evening in Riyadh.
  
  The agency stated that the two sides discussed "bilateral relations between the two countries, aspects of joint cooperation, developments in regional events and efforts made towards them," without providing details about those efforts.
  
  The meeting was attended on the Saudi side by Prince Khaled bin Salman(ኣል-ኣሚር ኻልድ ቢን ሳልማን), Minister of Defense, Faisal bin Farhan( ፈይሰል ቢን ፈርሓን), Finance Minister Muhammad bin Abdullah Al-Jadaan( ሙሓመድ ቢን ዓብደላ ኣል-ጀድዓን), and National Security Adviser Musaed bin Muhammad Al-Aiban (ሙሳዒድ ቢን ሙሓመድ ኣል-ዓይባን), according to the same source.
  
  And Asmara has relations with countries experiencing crises in the region, such as Ethiopia, Somalia and Sudan, in addition to its strategic location overlooking the Red Sea.
  
  Last February, Asmara announced joining the IGAD Commission on Development in East Africa, 16 years after it suspended its membership in 2007, after disagreements with member states over regional issues.
