Most decent observers figured out the true character of Abiyot Ahmed Ali after the Burayu massacre and in the aftermath of the military coup attempt. What he said and what he did post those two events in the early stages of his government pretty much exposed who he really is and what his intentions were. Abebe Gellaw and Co. though chose to give the Oromuma Pharaoh the cover he needed to firm up his regime until it's too late.
