Namibia president says China not colonizing Africa

Namibia President Hage Geingob said China is not colonizing Africa and that growing cooperation between the world’s No. 2 economy and Africa benefits both sides.

“comments smearing bilateral cooperation” between China and Namibia are “doomed to fail.”

“We are mature, we can choose our friends, we can choose what we want for, and what’s good for us,” Geingob said.

Geingob also told Xinhua that China-Africa cooperation is on equal footing and that China’s investment in his country is not just “digging out resources.”

“No country in the world has added so much value to our products as China has. China has done a lot of technology transfer and job creation,” the Namibian president told Xinhua.

Very democratic, aren't they?

1st they ask you to vote, then openly threaten you if you vote the way they don't like. What will happen to Mali we'll soon see, I suppose.

If I go by this gentleman's posts, either the bar is too low to become a US public official, or may God have mercy on us if these are the 'best and the brightest' the US could offer.....

Apart from his antics, what is amusing is his expectation that Russia should be condemned for violating Ukraine's sovereignty while at the same time condemning Eritrea and threatening Mali for exercising their sovereign rights. The irony of his statement seemed to elude the good ambassador.

When are the racist westerners gonna learn to stop treating Africans like slaves they once owned? Never mind about their silly "Democracy", which they can shove up their àss. But the sooner they learn there are some African leaders who value their dignity over the crumbs the westerners throw at some alms-addicted leaders, the better for their sanity.

Out of all the countries, he insulted the Eritrean leader and threatened Mali, two African nations. And he is Mr. Nobody.
