#እውነታው ኢቢሲ ከትናንት ጀምሮ "ኦፕን ማጋዚን የሚባል የህንድ መፅሄት በአፍሪካ የዲሞክራሲያዊ መሪዎችን ዝርዝር ይፋ አደረገ፣ ጠ/ሚር ዐቢይ አህመድን በ1ኛ ደረጃ ላይ አስቀመጠ" የሚል ዘገባ ይዞ ሲወዘውዘው ነበር።

የእሱን መረጃ ይዘው ደግሞ የሀገሬ የሶሻል ሚድያ ገፆች እና የዩትዩብ ቻናሎች ሲቀባበሉት ነበር። ከኢቢሲ በተጨማሪ አዲስ ሚድያ ኔትዎርክ፣ የአዲስ አበባ ኮሚኒኬሽን ቢሮ፣ ኦቢኤን አማርኛ... ወዘተ መረጃውን ሲያጋሩ ነበር።

የመፅሄቱ ዋና ኤዲተር ኤስ ፕራሳናራጃን በዚህ ዙርያ መረጃ ለኢትዮጵያ ቼክ ማምሻውን ያደረሰ ሲሆን "እኛ እንዲህ አይነት መረጃ አላወጣንም፣ የእኛም ዘገባ አይደለም። ይህንን ልናረጋግጥላችሁ እንችላለን" የሚል ምላሽ ልኳል።

በዲጂታል መልኩ የታተሙ የመፅሄቱን የቅርብ ግዜ ህትመቶች የተመለከትኩ ሲሆን የተጠቀሰው አይነት መረጃ ይዘው እንዳልወጡ ማየት ይቻላል።

ከሁሉም የሚገርመው ግን የዚህ ሀሰተኛ መረጃ መነሻ በትራንስፖርት እና ሎጂስቲክስ ሚኒስትሩ ዶ/ር አለሙ ስሜ ስም ተመሳስሎ በተከፈተ አንድ ሀሰተኛ የትዊተር አካውንት የተሰራጨ ሀሰተኛ መረጃ መሆኑን ማየት ይቻላል። ይህ አካውንት ደግሞ ሀሰተኛ እንደሆነ ኢትዮጵያ ቼክ በተከታታይ መረጃዎችን አቅርቦ ነበር።

ይቺን እንኳን ሳያጣሩ ለሚልዮን ተከታታዮች መረጃ ማቅረብ አይከብድም... ወይም እንደ ክበበው ገዳ አባባል "አይሰቀጥጥም"?

Well, I do agree that EBC or any other serious media outlet needs to cross-check and try to verify a claim of any kind before rashing to broadcast the claim, which will finally erode their own credibility as a media-organisation.

But I don't think this might have happened by a direct order from Abiy Ahmed, there is no logic to dictate that here.

In that case there is also no reason to assume it was an embarrassment to the PM himself personally or the government he is leading as such.

Trying to attach the name of a single person to anything that has gone wrong only shows the level of moral decaying of the inept so called opposition, which has in fact given up on the task of opposing those in power in any credible way.

Man, I don't understand the reason for your tantrum, but anyway I think it was Mitchel Obama, who once said something like: "when they go low, we go high" and I don't think that I and many people of this forum may belong to the club of the character you mentioned.

In that case, it is natural to leave im in the low and go higher and watch him from the overhead above.
