When President Isaias Afewerki gave interview to Elias Kifle in 2009, he said the TPLF are the most coward people he has ever seen his entire life. The President went on to add, "if a handful of Ethiopian youth take up arms and hunker down at the Entoto mountains of Addis Ababa, the coward TPLF leaders would beat a hasty retreat to Mekelle with tail between their legs."

It was actually rock-throwing Oromo and Amhara children that chased the cowards out of Art Kilo.
