Interesting how you're overly obsessed with an ''inferior'' group, us Oromo's. Interesting indeed.
Menelik deserves credit for his strengths and of course, criticism for what his wrongs, like any other leader.
His strength was being an expert at diplomacy and using the European powers to get what he wants.
However, he was not known for fighting on the field directly, like say, Tewodros or Yohannes.
He would be in the back, praying and waiting, for the news.

Oromo played a big role in that war, the Adwa war, whether you like it or not, and if a person who wants to maintain the unity of the country, should be happy if Oromo are embracing it, as opposed to shunning and rejecting it.
It was the Oromo warriors, and other Ethiopian warriors, doing the fighting.
But, he did play a big role in getting the necessary weaponry for the war, long before it occurred, so he deserves credit for that.

እስቲ ንገረኝ፥ 200ሺህ ሰራዊት ይዞ ናፓሊዎን እንግሊዝን ሲወጋ፣ ለምን ጦሩን ከፊት ሆኖ አልመራም? ኢሳያስ አፈወርቂና መለስ ዜናዊ የቱ ጋ ነው ፊት ለፊት የደርግን ጦር የገጠሙት? አብይ ምነው ሸዋ ሮቢት ብቅ ብሎ ተመለሰ? ለምን ወደ ማይ ፀብሪ አልዘለቀም ነበር? ጃዋር ሜንጫና ዳውድ ኢብሳ መንጋቸውን ከባህር ማዶ ሆነው አልነበር እንዴ ሲያፏጩላቸው የነበረው? ታዲያ መንጋዎቹ እሳቱ ውስጥ የነበረውን ሀጫሉን በመጠበቅ ፈንታ፣ ለምን አያቶላ ጃዋርን እንደ አንበሳ ማራኪ በአደባባይ ሽኮኮ አደረጉት?
