Why do Tigrayans HATE Atse Yohannes this much?

As you all know, part of the body of Atse Yohannes is still in Sudan khartoum museum displayed for tourists and visitors.
Sudan was best friend of Tigrayans for the past 27+ years. Eventhought that was the case, they never tried to negotiate with Sudan and tried to bring Atse Yohannes body to Tigray and give him a honor funeral that he deserves.
Instead of bringing Atse Yohannes' body from Sudan, Tigrayans traveled as far as Europe, Italy, to bring back a small sized Obelisk of Axum.
Is Axum Obelisk more important for Tigrayans than Atse Yohannes.
I am just asking.
I also heard one story about the name of a school in Tigray named After Atse Yohannes. Meles Zenaw Order the local TPLF cadres to change the Name of the school from Atse Yohannes to Meles Zenawi. The local community were very angry with Meles' attempt to rename the school with his name. The local people told Meles Zenawi instead of changing the name of the existing school, he should have build a new school and call it Atse Meles Zenawi school instead of trying to change the existing school.
