The transition of EPRDF from coalition to a unified party was an overdue task but the way it was handled was in a rushed manner and with out enough discussion, negotiation and consensus among the stakeholders. What is is going to happen is that the Prosperity Party shall be reconstructed under new formula with the participation of TPLF and all other current members.
The bottom line : We will have a new unified party where the Tigray-Oromia alliance will be the core( አስኳል) and others at the periphery. This unified party under the leadership of PM Abiy will take Ethiopia to peace and prosperity.

The perennial problem with you, you can Not think outside of the box. Of course, there was a missed opportunity at the outset when TPLF was ousted by the popular movement , it was not missed by either TPLF or PP, it was actually missed by Ethiopians. Thanks to wutaf-neqai so called oppositions to let Abiy Ahmed hijacks it, twist it, killed millions, destroyed hundred billions of money, erased deep-rooted ethical and social fabric.

For you to regurgitate and daydream Tigray-Oromia alliance will rule is not only a wishful but how you are out of touch from the reality. To be honest, neither TPLF nor OLF-PP represents Tigre and Oromo, respectively. Second of, even if assuming so it is improbable for minorities to rule majority, the cost of stabilizing the country, both in terms of money and human lives, will be exponential. The majority Ethiopians that makes about 70 % of the population would never sit back and relax watching ethnic thugs rule them. You saw the last 31 years, Amhara which makes significant percentages of Ethiopia, even unarmed, were the worst nightmare to TPLF as it is now for PP-OLF.

The country does not need both TPLF and PP-OLF, they are against time where humanity is at now. In an age where global culture and universality is evolving, this generation can not be taken back to stone age era mechanical society where herd instinct in stead of rational reasoning plays the principal role. It is absurd to think of aged /doddering/ TPLF with cave or bushman thinking and OLF (an inherently cannibal) could lead 120 million Ethiopians into the bright future. Bright future for you, I guess, is Abay Tigray Republic - which already dead in water.

As to me, the way forward for the country is to peacefully do away PP-OLF and form a transitional governing body - constituting of individuals unaffiliated to any ethnic/tribal party, clean background of ethnic strife/crime, genuinely Ethiopian (putting Ethiopia first before self-interest). And this provisional body sets the stage for nation wide reconciliation and( fact finding, hold criminals accountable). It is this body that shall make the process for change of the dysfunctional TPLF/OLF illegal constitution and ethnic apartheid wall. It is impossible to fix and treat TPLF/OLF's defunct system - it is completely out of order and out of service. But you are extremely deluded to only believe and stick with the moribund TPLF.
