የተዋጋለትን ያማረረ፤ የሚወጋውን ይሰጠዋል። እምዬ ምኒልክን ያማረረው ትግሬ የሚገድለውን አብይ አህመድን ላከበት።
ከሸዋ ምድር ወር ተጉዞ በጣልያን ሊገዛ እና ሊረገጥ የነበረውን ትግራይን እምየ ምኒልክ ነጻ አወጣ። ዳሩ ግን የቅናት መንፈስ ያደረባቸው ስማቸው አጎደፉ፤ እግዜር ተቆጥቶ አብይ አህመድን አመጣው። በዚህም ታይቶ የማይታወቅ ውድቀት እና ሽንፈት በትግራይ ወረደ። አንዳንድ ቁሞ አልቃሽ ወያኔዎችም ተገደው የዚህ ሰው ጫማ ልሰው ምህረት ጠየቁ። ታዲያ እምየ ምኒልክን ይቅር በሉኝ ማለት አይገባም ዎይ?
