The whole drama the Oromuma Pharaoh created in front of the church leaders a couple of days ago was an attempt on his part to portray himself as peacemaker. And to make it seem like the schism was really an internal church matter. Once he thinks he established that, he was going to pull the rug under the table... which he did. But most Ethiopians have figured him out anyway. So nobody was surprised by the latest development.
