Imagine what cloud have happened, if Isaias army faced TDF alone ?
Ascari land could have been over run and all the Agames in Eritrea surrendering to TDF whereas Isaias would have been hiding in a cave in Nakfa or captured and flown to Mekelle under cage.

Slow down monk
Your generals use pre-World War I human-wave tactics to the detriment of their rank-and-file soldiers. All the Eritrean Army has to do is dig trenches in the mountains and mow down wave after wave of ill-trained enemy combatants. This has been proved countless times.

Objective Oromo opinion:
Tdf is a guerrilla army, so it could make occupying Tigray very difficult for any force, true, (at a very steep cost for tigrayan civilians and infrastructure) but in conventional warfare, Eritrea would overrun it quickly. Hence the reason why they got to mekelle riding tanks swiftly.
Actions speak louder than words as the age old adage goes.
