WHO chief continues sabotaging Ethio­pia’s peace process: Ambassador

ADDIS ABABA – Ethiopian Ambassador to France said that World Health Organiza­tion (WHO) Chief has continued sabotaging and undermining the peace process by mak­ing hostile remarks using the official WHO platform.

The Ethiopian Ambassador Mahlet Hailu said that:

After the peace agreement signed between the parties we are treated to another theatrical display of blatant lies and misin­formation by World Health Organization (WHO) Chief Tedros Adhanom (PhD).

The peace agreement that ends the conflict of the northern part of the country is being implemented among the signatories. She stated that Tedros has been undermining the African Union (AU) led peace process which is contrary to the peace agreement. Even as the process is making tremendous progress the director has continued his hate, propaganda, and others compromising the WHO neutrality.

The director wants again continue to spread harmful misinformation, ignored the his party’s indiscriminate killings, destruc­tion of health facilities and others. He must stop sabotaging and undermining the peace process by making hostile remarks from the official WHO platform,

she said.

She, therefore, said that these are treacher­ ous behavior is unheard of by high United Nations (UN) officials. The director must be held accountable for all violations as he has not lived up to the integrity and professional expectation required from his office and po­sition.

She stressed that Ethiopia expects an inves­tigation to be commissioned to identify the full extent of his misconduct and violation of his professional and legal responsibility. Ethiopia regrets and the WHO integrity needs to be ensured, she noted.

That is a lot of BS. Tedros is an Ethiopian citizen. As such, the Ethiopian government should have indicted him with the crimes that it is accusing him of and demanded his extradition back to Ethiopia. The fault is not in the stars that Ethiopia is treated with such contempt but that Abiy's government has allowed the white snakes to tread over him unopposed.
