This guy has a solid political point.

Politics in Ethiopia is corrupt and dangerous. Our society is primitive. When I say primitive, it has mostly to do with elite politicians who are trying to make a living out of this dangerous game.

Ever since the founding fathers of modern Ethiopia systematically killed and cleaned by the Derg, the downfall is accelerating. There is no brain trust. Without hard science efficiently addressed at the school level there is no way out.
It is hard science that builds successful societies. Bridges, roads, innovation etc will not happen without hard science and the engineers. Ethiopia has none of that.

Actually, Demeke Mekonnen was Muslim originally but is converted to ጴንጤ. He is ጴንጤ, not Muslim. Both of his parents with Muslim background from Mekdella, Wollo. I will remain corrected if you happen to get better source.
