Meskaye Hizunan Medhane-Alem Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church (MHMEOTC) is located at 3707 SE 162nd Ave, Portland, OR 97236, USA. The Church is a hierarchical member of the Holy Synod of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church (EOTC) denomination under the Patriarch of the EOTC, which has its main sit in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The Church is organized for the purposes of religious worship and prayer in accordance with the teachings of Christianity as practiced by the EOTC.
The Church performs baptismal, marriage, burial rites and counseling services according to the customs and practices of the faith. It also provides educational programs to enhance the understanding of the Scriptures, history, culture and traditions of the Church. Moreover, the church provides programs of education designed to promote the Christian upbringing of the Ethiopian youth in the area, and mobilizes Parishioners in the provision of charitable services to the needy as well as contributions during an emergency or disaster and encourages volunteer work among its members.
