We're not talking about a HUGE pop. number, here. 👇

Add to that the volcanic- heat of Massawa & the time of day this video was taken, then it's not so hard to figure out why it looks so empty.

Massawa
Year Est. Population
2000 14,452
2020 27,870

Eritrea first coastal city was Adulis
the second.Coastal city was Debarwa
the third coastal city was Massawa.

Massawa according to Wikipedia gets extremely hot temperatures around 40 degree Celsius from June to September

Now in comparison to Port Sudan city of 500,000 living in such hot temperatures

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Port_Sudan

Port Sudan gets up to 50 Degree celsius in the summer

So how is Port Sudan?

A small town like Massawa can easily be turned into a tourist attraction Economic town and trade hub Within one week

What happened to the residents of Massawa City? My presumption is that they went fishing as I do not see anyone else strolling with you at this moment.
