በአዳማው ስብሰባ የተናገሩት ንግግር አብይ አሕመድንና የኦሮሞን ብልፅግና በእጅጉ እንዳበሳጫቸውና ከአማራ ክልል ፕሬዚዳንትነታቸው ሊያሰነሳቸው እንደሚችል ተነገረ።

Whether this statement comes from him or not, referendum is invalid and is out of question, unless OLF-PP wants the continuation of the conflict among Amhara and Tigre so that it can defraud the nation. If Abiy Ahmed wants referendum he can do that for Beshasha, not Raya, Welqait or Humera.

If someone is running from the decision of the people, then there is a lot to it. He/she has willingly submitted to the competing voices (interests).

What is the reason referendum is required? Publically Abiy himself stated that Welkit had been taken by TPLF force and that they have been fighting to regain what has been lost by force. TPLF precipitated a war to dismantle the whole of Ethiopia, Amharas while defending Ethiopia recapture what was theirs, sacrificing 10000 of their own. Now after all these TPLF crimes, are you going to give the criminal equal right to decide the fate of Welkit and Raya ???
