Q: Guess what gift the Amhara Regional State representative gave Isaias?
A: A canvas print of Tigrigna alphabet (which is the national alphabet in Ertirea) and a picture of Axum Obelisk (which does not belong to them). I wonder what he felt when he saw their gift. I read somewhere Mengistu took Persian rugs as a gift to Iran : )

The aksum obelisk look boring it is not used for anything it is just a standing rock
In comparison to Lalibela 11 Churches and Gondar Fasilades Beta Mengist
Also Geez script is derived from Queen Shebas Sabean Script not tigrinya
Eritreans taught agame how to write in tigrinya too

The writing system as a whole is our creation. We developed it to what it is now. Don't underestimate the work done by our ancestors. They were extremely smart and God-fearing tough people.

The original script was simple and was developed by abysinnians for our local languages many Letters were added to represent the languages of abysinnia
Also Sabean script was killed by Arabic script when Muhammed army conquered yemen meaning it died in 630 AD in Arabia its evolution was ended while it survived in our Highlands
Also do you know Arabic script is not native to Arabian Peninsula but rather it was born in Syria as Aramaic and spread southward to Nabatea and Hejaz then being used by locals to create Arabic script The Quran was written in this script making us think the script was native to Saudi Arabia
In conclusion all linguistic scripts are spread and developed by civilizations the evidence is development of a script (Latin -> English German French)

Abjads / Consonant Alphabets

The Abjad system makes languages like Hebrew not easy to learn. It looks as though language exposure is expected from you before you start learning. Example :የኣማርኛ ቃላቶች ለብዙ ጊዜ ለሰማ ሰው " አበበ ወሸነ ደመተ ገዘ ። " የሚለውን ዓረፍተ-ነገር ስርዓት ኣስይዘህ ኣንብበው ብትለው ብዙ ኣያስቸግረውም ሆኖ ግን ለፉጹም ጀማሪውን በተመሳሳይ ሙከራ ብታስገባው ውጤቱ ኣጥጋቢ እንደማይሆን ኣጣራጣሪ ኣይደለም ።
Compared to the Hebrew and Chinese people our ancestors did a good job. I wish we used our abugida to introduce subjects like mathematics to our people or elites long time ago.
