I got it.
I was asking because 'Hebo La Hebo' is also most ancient and basic Gurage song. I was wondering if you knew its meaning? I happen to its meaning in Guragegna! The song below is an urbanized version of it.

I understand and it makes sense. BTW:-did you know also there is a village in my Eritrea's kebessa south region called "ሔቦ" they r also from a larger tribe calle "ጸንዓ ደግለ" Aka Akeloguzay, which is where your ጉራጌ ethnic came from. An akloguzay ethnic called "ጉራዕ". I told u about this a long time ago. ጉራጌ r from my Eritrea called ጉራዕ።HEBO

tarik,
I will not go that far enough to conclude on the Gur'a origin of Gurage but one things is certain in terms of anthropological and cultural theory; that is, a given cultural element is carried from place to place by people. For example, if you see 'Eritrea Cab' in a Brazilian town called Amazona, it is certain that a person of Eritrean origin or connection lives in Amazona. The same way with Hebo La Hebo particularly is a song context which makes it more than a linguistic link. But, I am really interested what the Beja or Bani Rasheed mean by 'Hebo La HeBo;? If the Beja meaning and the Gurage meaning are the same, that will be the definitive smoking gun! The musical beat the dance also show some similarity. So find out the meaning of Hebo la hebo!!!
by the way, this is my favorite
